I thought I heard that the seats off the new city x are better than the stock xb9s seats and a little better fit> anyone put a city x seat on a xb9s before? |

Yes I have done this recently, I have found it more comfortable than my standard XB9S seat. The extra padding lets me go further in the saddle before needing a break and also gives a bit more legroom from the increased seat height. |

Me too, I put the cityx seat and handguards on my '03 XB9S. I like the seat lots better, higher and more comfortable. |

Same here - the CityX seat is really comfortable, add the Low pegs for even better comfort long-distance. Comparison of Low, normal, and CityX seat pans (the molded plastic base) makes me think they're identical for the XB-S, just different padding/shape. |

I'll be the odd one here, I hated the CityX seat, took it off and put on a 12S seat. It had no texture so all I did was slide forward, and after about an hour and a half, I had to be peeled off. IMHO the standard 12S seat with the texture is much more comfy. Trips of more than 2 to 3 hours are no problem. Ken |

i got a city and really don't like the seat. i don't like the fact that the seat has no texture and no rise in the back of it feels like i am going to slide off of it sometimes. what i do love is the SS's seat now that is super comfortable. i can ride just about all day and all night with that seat. |

I have a City X... I have mixed feelings about the seat.. If you keep good posture it is really comfortable.. If you bend you back and kind of sit on your tail bone and not but or just have no but its going to tear you up.. I'm looking at getting a corbin made with about the same height...Or having a local place redo it with visco... When I get on it I feel my self slide back a little.. I live in florida and I bought my bike texas in rode it back.. After a day of riding it was really nice to slide back on the seat and stretch and maybe put your feet on the passenger foot pegs.. |

Me too.. I didn't like the city X seat, although it sits you up higher I don't like that its doesn't have a cut-out or shape. I felt like I was sliding around on it. Ended up getting a Select seat, its the bomb. |
