Since my Vanson sold here fast (thanks pete!) I'll post my Drystar commute suit up. This has upgraded RC back protector (Bought for an extra $25) I have had this suit for two seasons, and along with my sidi tempor boots and rev'it waterproof gloves, I have never gotten wet.

This suit is wonderful, but doesn't come with a insulated liner (which works great in norther Cali)

I've used this in downpours that I've had to pull over in. But stayed nice and dry.

If you don't want to spend $700+ on a areostitch... this suit is a great alternative. below is a retail price on the suit. I have two seasons on this suit... and my daily commute is about 30 minutes each way... so there hasn't been a whole lot of riding time on this suit.

Although the suit has tons of protection and is easy to get in and out of... the leg armor is just in the knees... and I've got my eye on a couple of other options.

I realize that this is the wrong season for selling a rainsuit... but this is a commute suit after all.

$275.

size
alpinestars tend to run a little small (euro sizing)

Whoops, sorry I forgot my measurements

I'm 5'11" 195-197 pounds
I wear a 44 regular jacket (although I have a 42 chest but I have broad shoulders)
My waist is 34"

The waist is roomy on me. I'd guess it could go up to a 38 (but that's my guess). Gut is fairly loose on me, the legs are a bit long... nothing bad since I wear separate knee armor. Maybe an inch or two to long as I walk. Or the bike it's not noticeable.

My best guess is 5'9" to 6'2" - with separate knee armor
weight would be 185 lbs to maybe 205-210 lbs (210 I doubt you could layer much)

When I first got the suit I was 189 ish... and it was loose in the gut (good for layering) but the arms have adjustable straps to keep the armor in place.

Ryker77 if I have it still... it's your's! it's a great suit. I'd just like something more noticeable in the fog/rain... since I do ride all year, and have had a few close calls.

Might should just look at having some hi-vis yellow material sewn on it. Would be cheaper than buying a new suit.

I need at least a 46 in the chest... 50 if its cool outside. Too much time at the gym.

A little bit to big for me I think...I am only 5'8 and maybe 165. I have full gear that is so called water prof but after a only like 20 minutes in a down pour my arms at the inner elbow where getting wet. So I need something else. I wear full heated gear under my regular gear too, so maybe that would fit me? I plan on just having it to put over my other incase...Hmmmm I will sleep on it.

Well I think you might want to check out the suit. Not mine exactly, because it'll probably be a little loose. Although if you ride in the cold... this would be great for layering.

I have been caught in downpours where I've had to pull over and wait for it to pass. Never, never had any water get in.

here is a sizing chart for alpinestars...
It is a great suit... and I hear you Ryker77 about adding hi-vis tape, but I'm a gear , I get new gear every year, I'm compulsive about it... and I've had this suit two years... so hopefully that will tell you how good this suit is. Here's a sizing link to alpinestars

it says the suit is good for up to 46. Not that I'm trying to push my suit on you S1... I can't tell how well it'd fit someone bigger than me. I'm just guessing.
