One ride will either convince you to buy it, or it will confirm your fear that you are too damn short to do anything about it falling over on you. |

It was a ton of fun today but Loren was not impressed with my new pink Buell hat for homecoming. Somehow, I can't imagine why, he is balking on wearing one for the Homecoming picture. |

I just don't have anything to wear that would match. Today was a bunch of fun. After riding all those new bikes, I was impressed with hole "tight" my bike still feels after 21k miles. It still rides like new. I liked the Uly, but I would want more wind protection. It and the CityX both have great relaxed riding positions. The stock Firebolts sure are a tight fit. The changes I have made in my bike sure make a big difference. I hadn't noticed them so much when I made them because each change was incremental. I could really feel the difference going back to the stock bikes. |

Arkansas Trip This trip is fast approaching. Due to schedule conflicts with work, I cannot be in Arkansas until mid morning on Saturday. On the list for the trip so far. Bob Lee Drake John Paul Eric And Jim and Cody are maybes and that’s final for coming down Saturday evening. I think Bob is headed down early Friday to do leg work for an upcoming HOG ride. I believe the rest are planning on coming down Friday evening. I will leave it up to you guys to plan your trip down there. If anyone has any interest in going down early Saturday morning my plan is to leave Baldwin around 4am. |

wow 4am that is early Loren. the demo was dare i say it a "Blast". it was really great riding all the new bikes even the Blast. i really love the way the Long SS rides. the seat on that bike = all day every day. so much better than my city. Firebolt too much weight on my hands but still a great bike. absoloutely love the CG going to get the CG springs for my city if they will work with my forks and rear shock. Cody is a maybe if he gets his bike to stop leaking oil or trades in for a new one. |

Eric, it about 250 miles down there from Baldwin and the GPS says 5 hours, so that's part of the early departure. To Everyone: Here's some good reading. http://www.ridehsta.com/html/safety.htm http://www.ridehsta.com/html/paceyourself.htm |

AMEN!, Loren. Hey all, whoever is riding down, lets hook up on here as to when all can evacuate the city. Looks as though south 71 is the most Central local HWY to escape on. Belton area?? Anyway, I am looking to pulling out around 9:00 - 10:00 am Friday if possible. If some one wants to ride later in the day that is fine with me just communicate so we can pull together a group.(Strenght in #'s). Thats Friday before noon! That will put us there a little before sundown. Hey if you have to work so do I, so don't worry, a few of us can pull out later if you don't want to ride alone I'm sure. I can tell ya one thing, these damn GPS units things require a freakin degree to program, sheez! |

John, I actually will be leaving Blue Springs before noon, so I could drop by your place and connect or go on to belton to a meeting place which ever works for you. I am trying to get loose from work at 9:00 right now, if all goes well I will meet you at 9:30 at your best meeting place. Is 71 south the best start? I have never routed this before. |

Take lot's of pictures. |

Jim, we may have to take Mr. Bill and Gumby as stand ins for you and Cody in all the photos. Kind of like this. That way you could be with us in spirit, so to speak.
