This is me waiting in front of computer . .
They should submit it to MO when results are out as a news item. They'll probably pick it up - I dunno know why I care. I already have a pipe. I just love the idea of a bunch of guys cooperating to consolidate the facts for the greater good, and to travel, and stay up, and sweat and curse just for the love of Buell's, their sound, and their performance. We're pretty lucky. Its good stuff . . . |

Definitely good stuff. I too am waiting for the results. They apparently collected a mountain of data. It'll take time to get it sorted. Thanks again to everyone involved! |

Yes, thanks to EVERY one that assisted in any way. I have never seen a group of people so dedicated to a product. Damn, I am glad I own a Buell. With that said I have already started to slowly loose my hair but this type of suspense may bring on a heart attack. I think I will take two Viagra for chest pain and check again in the morning. Later, Bart |

Does anyone know if the Force exhaust was included? |

Ouch!! I was hoping I could buy the ECM re-programmed. Guess I will save the $$ and buy the Direct Link or another exhaust. |

True, no Force, No Ti-force. I knew we wouldn't have a Force there, but I thought DaveS was going to send the one he we given by Ti-Force for testing to Waterloo for the test. But it never got there. C'est la vie. I finished compiling the dyno plot list tonight (i.e., which dyno file had the Stock map plot, Race map plot, Best Torque plot, best power plot, best fuel curve plot, and the relevant max power and torque values and RPMs. But that's just the first step to the massive undertakng to generate the jpgs from the dyno data. I was working on the sound files tonight and fell asleep at the computer. I'm kinda nodding off now too. I'll get there as soon as I can, but it's going to take some time. Patience.. Al |

Sounds great Al! Since this is such an enormous project, will we actually be able to see it on the web or will we have to download it? I am fine with either/or. I'd rather you guys take your time and do it right than send out a sloppy copy of the data. I saw in another link that the D&D was quoted as being LOUD (obviously), but something funny happened with it. What happened that was funny with the D&D? I have one so I along with all the other owners are surely particularly interested. Thanks for the great work! |

I can't remember anything "funny" happening with the D&D. It was the loudest one we tested, I don't think there's any doubt about that. I took sound pressure level readings on every bike, but I'm not sure how relevant the data is going to be. Values ranged from 118-124dB. That is from memory, not sure about the low end, 124 was definitely the highest we saw. The meter was in the same place every time, but it was hardly a duplicate of the EPA test. We were in a tiny little dyno room, and the mic and meter were about 3 feet to the right, 2 feet to the rear from the rear wheel contact patch on the dyno drum, and 5 feet off the ground. The D&D clearly brought the meter to 124dB faster than the others and held it there for longer. The Jardine was no slouch in the noise department either. Al |

WOOT!! A great time indeed!! Was nice to meet everyone.. and learning a bit about Dyno machines and other things. Bunch of smart guys yes they are. And yeah, AL, you and Terry still have your hearing after that D&D LOL.. All in all I am sure everyone will be happy to learn the outcomes. Jerry W Des Moines, IA

Well, it was hard enough waiting for the dyno shoot out to happen. I could hardly wait. Now it has happened and I am going to have to wait for an undetermined time for the results. I need my life back. Tell me it will be a week for the results and I will swallow that pill. But now like a jones'n junkie I've been checking the computer every hour to see if there has been any progress. I hope I don't become 'retardeder' before the results arrive. Seriously though, I am very excited in the most positive way and am so happy so many of you got together to do something that is going to make all of us happy. Thank you, I will check for an update in 5 min. Aaron |

I have a friend (no it is not me) who gets a lot of speeding tickets. His advice: call the local DA, see if you can get a diversion. If not call a LOCAL attorney and have him get you off or diverted. You are still going to pay a lot, just not also to your insurance company or lose your license. I too am excited about the 'shootout' results! |
