There were a bunch of Buell's there, including Walt Sipp's. He is sponsored by Blue Springs HD. He is getting an XBRR soon. (Sam, this bike sounds like yours. It has the Besin exhaust!)
And another Buell racer from St. Louis.

Random Pics... Upgraded Facilities. It is my understanding that the new owners, the City of Topeka and the State of Kansas have all dumped money into this place to get it back up to snuff. All very timely as the track is going on 20 years old. Notice all the new concession stands and race garages.

Very cool! I'm hitting the track on Sat. I can't wait. Great pics. Did you guys meet a very large and very loud guy named Jim Dominique? He probably rode an SV650 or a GSXR 750. He's a character. |

Nice meeting you at HPT Sunday. You really got it together. Didn't realize you are moving to Tulsa. There is a great track about 20 miles east of there in Hallet, OK. |

I will be going to the Buell homecoming and Road America. Leaving June 1 and returning June 5th. Due to time constraints, I will be trucking there with bike. If you would like to accompany me and share gas, that would be great. You will need your own transportation, bike, when there. You can go to and from, only from, only to, or be dropped off anywhere in between. If you want Hals to do performance work on your bike, I will drop it off for you, you don't need to be there. Probably can fit two more bikes in truck. |

Yeah I'm definitely planning on going next track day. Was workin in Little Rock, AR all last week and totally forgot about it (plus I was frustrated cause I didn't get to take my scooter). Sounded like a lotta fun, though. Need to get a pair o gloves...maybe some pants if Larry will stop staring at my ass when I put on leather... Link for track schedule: (look for "Heartland Park Motorcycle Track Day") http://www.hpt.com/store/catalog/pdfs/2006_Road_Schedule.pdf Looks like next track day is Wednesday, June 14. |

Duff, Yes- we will get a DVD of us riding in a few weeks. Going into the corners I saw a guy taking a lot of pictures, so I think we will get a bunch of still shots too. And one last shot of the knee pucks! (I promise!) It was just so damn fun!

Thanks for the pictures, Drake. Did you talk to someone about the DVDs? I never thought about it until I got home. If they shot any in the first session I hope they included some from the last session. Kind of a before and after. |

I met 2 new Buellers here in Olathe in the last 2 days...One has a new Ulysses and actually rode with us to Ralph Waynes last year on his bagger...and the other has a City-X...and Zeus gave him my number because he is interested in getting his exhaust a little louder...I told them both about KCLW so hopefully they get on the site.. |

I met the angry dude that totaled his 12R last month. He walked up to me while I was pumping gas and asked me how I liked my bike. He didn't recognize me as being the 'other customer' who watched him throw a temper tantrum over a busted peg feeler at Gail's just minutes before he thrashed hisself on 150. I know this because he appeared shocked when after he said, "I just totaled my 12R," I said, "Yeah, I know. I left Gail's just a few minutes after you did and saw your bike in the median and you in the cop car." He said he had been having a bad day. I asked him if he was going to buy another one and he said yes. Overall, he seemed much less like the foulmouthed jackass I thought he was at the dealership. I guess you can't judge a person based on only one episode of jackassedness.

Greetings! I'm new to motorcycles. I had never ridden a motorcycle of any kind until I rode home my brand new '05 XB9SX last June. That was fun... Anyway, I'm a year into this whole thing and loving it. My problem is that I'm a lone wolf as in my buddies don't ride (I think I need new buddies). I'm in the South Overland Park area. Looking forward to meeting up with some of you. Thanks to Zeus and Larry for getting me to this website. Looks like there's plenty to do and much to learn. Looking forward to it! Hey Brent, welcome!! Hey I live in Stanley Kansas @ 158th and Metcalf basically. I am not a EVERY day rider, but I do ride somewhat around here when the head of the hut lets me roam. I am the same way, not many of my every day friends ride, just my bad web friends here. They call me "leech" when I'm not around probably, I just want to ride like THEY do every weekend. (freaks) Anyway, just post up on here a couple days in advance and we can hook up! (I just don't check my computer every minute if you know what I mean. Paul} |

Paul, Naw we haven't died yet, sorry to say. HAHA. Both of us have just been really busy, I try to read the Badweb posts at work through my email but haven't had much time to post up. But hopefully that will change. Brent and Roger, welcome to the board. Hey everyone we need to set a ride up for Saturday maybe a 2 or 300 mile day ride. My butt needs some practice before August. Oh ya Larry sorry but the answer is NO, you can't help break my butt in. Drake when are you going to bring our grinder back, I'll need it if there is going to be an exhaust modified for Brent sometime soon. Don't worry you can borrow it again before your next track day, still wonder what you needed it for? Ok everyone grow some balls tell the boss you are riding on Saturday and that they can have your lazy asses on Sunday. |
