You guys tell me! I am down for any time in the morning! If you guys want to meet early and get blessed at the 11am I am down with that too. The starbucks on Washtenaw is exit 17a or b off US23. It is which ever exit goes west into Ann Arbor. We can meet at the beganing of Huron river Drive also. There is a small park with in the first mile on the right hand side of the road. Shoot for Blackbelt case we could meet at the Brighton HD. Like I said I don't care where or when, but the earlier in the morning the better for me. If you guys have mother's day stuff, I hope earlier works for you as well let me know. Hard Corps 734-368-8868 (Message edited by hardcorps on May 08, 2006) |

My Grandfather passed away last night. I didn't get the message until after I posted the above posts. I have to go to Iowa, and I don't know when I will be back! If I am home I will diffently still be going to the blessing of the bikes! Riding always seems to have a way of clearing my head, so I will be out tonight! Hard Corps |

Early on the 14th is good for me as well. The entrance to Huron River Driver would be a good place to meet. Don't really care where we meet up. Starbucks would be okay too. Right now the forcast is for crappy weather on Sunday. Hope that changes. |

Nothin a little total engine re-build can't fix LMAO All spare time is now going tword re-build. I should have the motor apart by tomorrow night and all I am waiting on is parts from Dave... The short story. The bearing race on the cam side walked out right into the oil pump worm gear. Locked it up. Shreaded the pinion gear. SOOOO I am going to replace the race, gear, etc... I am also gonna fix that pesky case leak. I also noted various small leaks that need to be fixed so I figured what the hell |

Alright two days until hell! Need a time and a place to meet! I say 9am, and the only suggestion I have heard for a place is Huron River drive. I think Starbucks would be an easier place to meet because it is one place. HRD you could possibly mix up where to actually be at! So unless any one objects I say 9am Starbucks on Washtenaw Ave, just west of US 23. I will be returning home from Iowa tomorrow, but I will have my cell with me all day. 734-368-8868. Lets get a Yes or a NO going! Hard Corps |

Sorry Hardcorp, I'll have to pass on this one. If the weather was going to be decent I would be there, but bad weather coupled with the fact that tomorrow is Mother's day doesn't make for a promising ride. That and my dinner reservations are more like lunch reservations doesn't leave me much time to ride anywhere. My sob story. Later. |

I will be going rain or shine! After all that it was rain suites where made for! If any one wants to come along please call me, or if that is too early I can go later! Black Belt I take the bone fire was put off again? Are you still coming to Hell? I will hopefully see at least one other Buell! Again my cell phone is 734-368-8868. Hard Corps |

anyone going to this? http://www.blessingofthebikes.org/ May 21, 2006 The blessing is organized by the Para-Dice Motorcycle Club of Grand Rapids. This event raises money with proceeds from the Blessing going to the St. Ann's Senior Nutrition Program, which the gate proceeds go. The "Blessing" which started in 1972, had 4 bikes and 8 riders who gathered at St. Ann Catholic Church in Baldwin, MI and received a blessing for a safe and happy riding season. Now, thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts gather in Lake County. Organizers said the 2003 crowd tripled from 2002, who gathered under sunny skies while 2002 saw light snow. Less than half an hour before the Blessing was to begin, Sheriff Bob Hilts received a report from his deputies that, "there are still bikes lined up all the way to the county line," five miles south of the Baldwin Municipal Airport. Opening both the south and north gates to the airport, two abreast, the bikes stream in for a blessing. Oldest rider at the 2003 event was Chet Wiage, his 82-year old wife, Helen, rode as his passenger. Wiage has attended nearly every Blessing. Though "The General" has won a lot of the Blessing's, "Oldest Mototcycle" awards and is a fixture at the event, 2003 saw a new winner: the "Oldest Motorcycle" award went to a beautifully restored, 1934 Indian Scout. There is no award for "Strangest Motorcycle", but if there was, Idlewild's Joe Lindsey, with his maize and blue Thai taxicab would be alikely candidate. :-) Music from biker/musicians hailing from Scottville, Greenville, and Six Lakes have rocked the crowd for nearly four hours, playing a variety of rock standards for an enthusiastic and appreciative crowd. This wholesome family oriented happening is held every year on the third Sunday in May. Thank you to all who attend and make this event one to remember! :-) For vending and all other information about Blessing of the Bikes, call: June Sanborn at 1-231-854-4545 Comments and/or suggestions about this un-official Blessing website, please e-mail blessing@blessingofthebikes.org |
