Well, I finally got rid of my 03 Honda VFR. Traded in on a long-lusted after bike. Buell lightning. I got the XB12SS, 2006, blue/gold rims. I LOVE IT. it reminds me of my old V-Max except it handle4s like its on rails. Thanks to all the XB'ers that posted vids on this BBS. it was the convincing factor. esp mountain dudes vids. |

Congrats, Goozy. If you ever want to get the Sunset Plastics, let me know, I'll trade you my Sunset for the Blue. But I'm keeping the wheels. |

I agree, it's a real !$&#* to see out of those mirrors. Sometimes, if I really want to see what's behind me, I will pull in the clutch and the mirrors clear up when the engine gets to idle speed. |

Hi Goozyman, I got my Orange XB12Ss in March. I love it. I'm thinking of painting the airbox cover, front fender and chin spoiler in gloss black, with the Buell logo in orange to match the wheels. I hate "lollypop" mirrors and immediately fitted a CRG bar end. Works great. Welcome! Nick |

Congrats on the bike, I got the blue too, loving every minute of it. Definitely get the bar end mirrors, they work much better, plus getting rid of the micky mouse ears makes the bike look so much better. |

Here are some really good suspension settings for you to try.

Goozy, In the owners manual (not talking service manual) it has recommended suspension settings per weight, as Indy gave above, plus it has recommendation for suspension problems and techniques; as well as the how to on setting the suspension. Best of luck! And count me out as owning a SS... |

make sure to dial the suspension in to your weight. It does not come pre-adjusted. Many people have remarked on how much better the bike feels after doing so. |
