I guess it just goes to show that the search function on here works very well if you know how to use it. You save that snorkel for the next NOOB 3%er and give it to them. You can tell them it's a performance upgrade add-on that was part of the race kit used on the early XB's |

Thepup... Stealth,I would say the same could be said about you. So if I understand you correctly... "Stealth is found in all circles of life. Even on the Net! If I have to explain it further... you’re probably not worth my time!" I agree wholeheartedly! |

Heads... GO AWAY TROLL This request has been denied.
There are just so many things wrong with your post and profile that I should not have to say anything. But I will: So to you... I sincerely apologize. Retardation, growth hormone deficiencies and homosexuality are a result of forces you have no control over. However, making posts that demonstrate a mental capacity no greater than a schoolgirl can be avoided. I might break you in, but I'd make you my dog's bitch. |

thanks stealth - the bit about the diesel knowledge was simply to point out that 'noob' is relative to what your talking about. new to buells doesn't mean a person cant offer technical advice about non buell specific items, such as fabrication, welding, road reports, rides, w.h.y. I chose the diesel sites as they're boards I'm very familiar with, and that I've got a lot time, and experience in - also boards that I know don't share your attitude towards new/er posters, and return questions. Its quite surprising how often an 'old' question will turn up a new answer, simply because someone's tried something different, or parts availability has changed since the last time it was posted as for your last post language and all I think I speak for many of us here when I say it was undesired, uncouth, and unwelcome - although I did note that you didn't start this thread till Blake posted that he'd be off the list for a while. Believe me, the petition to get you out of here, at least till you get a better attitude, will be waiting in his mailbox when he gets back. |

as for your last post language and all I think I speak for many of us here when I say it was undesired, uncouth, and unwelcome I thought it was funny as sh!t!! This started off so civilized and has been reduced to name calling and threats to tell the teacher. I sure hope everybody is going riding this weekend. |

it hardly started off 'civilised' - from a new posters stand point, it started out as a rant, essentially telling us to get a brain, or dont bother posting A BBS is kind of like an athenian democracy - everyone has a voice. thats not an issue. Use your voice the wrong way, and the athenians would give thumbs down - boards can work the same way. no new posters, no new input, and the board starts to die off. I've seen it happen quite a few places where posts like this were left to run - personally, I like badweb, and I'd like to see it stick around, not degenerate into something like Pirate4x4 |

it hardly started off 'civilised' - from a new posters stand point Yeah, but you're Canadian and not very tolerant of that kind of language or behaviour. Trust me the rest of the world requires you to have thicker skin, as well as a functioning Sarcasm Recognition mechanism. |

wrong on about 10 counts - not the least of which is that I'm not canadian, and have lived 'around' enough to have gained permanent resident status in 1/2 dozen countries. sarcasm recognition system functioning 100%, BS meter also working just fine, thanks |

Just my .02, don't waste time arguing online, solves nearly nothing. Just let the arrogant poster think they "won". Plus you'll save _____ <(insert amount) of time by switching to "Ignore". Since I am already posting, and obviously I didn't ignore, I am behind You -Ulendo, and Stealth... 100%. Edit- Spelled "behind" incorrectly. The dictionary gets updated all the time, what's wrong with BADWEB Forums getting updated every 2 minutes? Too lazy to scroll through repeated questions? It's a shame you not too lazy to even sign online. (Message edited by brineusaf on May 05, 2006) |

LOL - and yes, I DO see the humor in it Kdan. I'm actually allergic to it ( seriously !!) that said, if you're so inclined, this is adventure bike heaven, 'cause it's literally a weed in the woods around here - the higher you go, the higher you can get! FWIW - it's not the general topic I object to. yup, a lot of stuff IS in the archives, and gets reposted: not to say refreshing the memory is a bad thing, either. My beef is that there's a polite way to address it, and then there's troglodytes. |

"A BBS is kind of like an athenian democracy - everyone has a voice." Not true! I know several who have been booted off. So, I guess you only have a voice if you're agreeable?!? Most here are failing to realize that there are new members almost everyday. You can't expect them to search through the archives for a question they might have that's not obvious! Besides, isn't this site supposed to be about helping each other? Contributing Info on Buells for the betterment of all? How difficult would it be to just be a little more tolerant. It's not really hurting anyone. |

Let me put an epitaph on this thread. Much of the "issue" here relates to how you read the BadWeb BBS. And most noobs have not figured out the best way to do that. YOU HAVE TO USE THE "Messages since I last searched for new messages" FOR THIS TO MAKE SENSE AND WORK RIGHT! Excuse me, I didn't mean to raise my voice. Posting to appropriate topics and using the New Message Search to read the board helps Blake and everyone who is a regular reader. You owe it yourself to give the "Messages since I last searched for new messages" thing a try. Use it for 2-3 days and I really doubt that you'll ever do it any other way. If it does not work for you, go back to doing it the hard way and floundering around in hopeless confusion, and taking the occasional criticism for doing it the hard way. To try it now, open a new browser window and try this: 1 - Click on the Search Board from the Topics page 2 - Go to Search by date, check the Registered Users button, underneath "Messages since I last searched for new messages" 3 - Fill in your user name name and password, leave "(All of BadWeb)" and everything else as it is. If you only read it once a week, change the "3" to "7" or higher, it is that simple. 4 - Click on Perform Search. 5 - Pick you way through the results. Clicking on a result open a new window, closing that takes you back to the search result. That's all there is to it. You mostly want to use the Close Window button to shuttle through the results but that may vary with your browser settings. I get my BadWeb fix once a day or more and I always, without fail, use that Search and I review all posts that are new since I the last time I logged on. It sounds like a lot of work but it is not. So I see a list of all the Topics, listed below are subtopics (the subjects tell me what each is about), and below that are the names of who posted, when, and the first few words of their post. The search result arranges those posts in the same manner that the BadWeb Board and Topics are arranged. I see every new post on every topic, can read and post if I want, and I simply ignore the regional threads and other stuff of no interest. As you read the new posts, it takes you back into the original thread so you can re-read or catch up on the topic as much as you want. When I'm done, all the posts in the search result are marked as read, a cookie is set, and the next time I read the board (from anywhere) I won't see anything that I have already seen in the search results. The Search for new posts feature is way beyond very useful. It is the key to not missing anything! Get over the intimidation of "new" and "don't know how" and try it. I can follow any number of running topics with it, even after a lapse of a day or three or even 30. When you have a new technical question go to the appropriate KV or XB topic or subtopic, create a new thread with an appropriate subject, and post it. Your question will be seen by every regular reader using the New Message Search feature (and that would be all the the veterans). If it is not technical or is social, take your choice of the General, Quick, XB, Thumper, or regional boards and fire away. I'm just a regular, not a Custodian, and you can do it however you want, but if you have not tried this you're missing all the fun. Happy Buelling! Jack |

'i find your sense of style just grand.....viva la stealth....salute to your jokes'. Wow...be still your beating heart! Much as you love the arrogant one, it seems to me that he is complaining about members not using all the facilities the board has to offer...which I suppose includes the classifieds...so you may want to take your beating heart, and your snorkle, over there} |
