Last Sunday we enjoyed, right before our front door, a veteran bike parade. Not far away, a pause for the riding museum. That there Griffon is the one I'd take home Hans. I can't make out the name on the black bicycle with the faired mudguards. Bazini? Whatever it is, it's gorgeous, as are so many of those old timers. Thanks Hans Rocket | ||

Rocketman: I see: That is the post war II Berini. Light 50 cc two stroker. At that time there were Mosquitos with the engine at the bracket, Cucciolos, also with the engine at the bracket but 4 stroke. Shortly after the Solex with the engine mounted on the front mudguard. And not to forget: The Cyclemaster with the engine build around the rear axle. The most amazing thing: They all (137 members) did start again after that short stop. And without smoke and with a very modest sound. There was only one single bike in the service van. The Griffon was indeed a topper to have another look on. The oldest bike was a Dion Bouton tricycle from 1998. My favourite: A twin cylinder Eysink from 1905. (no 14 pict 2948) Hans | ||
