Ya good luck with getting a dealership to purchase that for you. You are probably better off juwt buying the key and sending your ecm off to Dave S. |

Loren's "Flint Hills" route today was his best to date. K4 west of Topeka was brand new asphalt with some sweet sweepers. |

Drake, are you doing track day at Heartland Park on May 8th? I may be at the track that day, a friend with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation "Ride For Kids" will be there attempting to dial in is CBR600RR suspension. The CBR is painted in theme paint for the Kansas City ride July 23 at JCCC. So look us up, I'm not doing track day though... I should be on the S3. http://www.rideforkidskc.com/ Jeff |

So in favor of keeping my bike looking as new as possible I went ahead and installed some axle sliders. I decided to go with the skateboard wheels (price was right!). Here are some pics: Front Wheel:
Rear Wheel:
Does anyone have the details on this bike show? I'm really interested in seeing some chopped Buells and it sounds like this is going to be the place to see some. Let me know, Erik |

Erik, I am not sure if and when anyone else is planning on going. I am looking to go around 5 or 6ish maybe, but I am pretty much open. Let me know what time you are thinking about and we can meet up if you want. Larry, I will see you around 730 or so at FDs. Any idea how many people are are coming, not that I care just wondering. As I am sure we all can tell a bondfire is pretty much out unless people want to be knee deep in mud, given the rain and BS. Also if people don't feel like driving to the end of the earth to my place, we can stay in that area or something. I am open to whatever, but the keg is cold, and d@mn if it did not taste good last night LOL. We can play it all by ear. |

Thanks Drake, Larry and Loren for the help cross referencing part numbers this weekend. I ended up picking up Mobil 1 V-Twin, a Mobil 1 filter and some NGK iridium plugs. Alter Ego had the oil, and O'Rieley's had the filter but they had to order the plugs for me. I'm going to pick them up today after work. I'm going to Anthony Tuesday after work, but I'm hoping to do my service Wednesday or Thursday night. I've also got to run over to Olathe and get my VIN checked and registration done. Hopefully I can do all that this week and be ready to ride this weekend. |

Well fellas, I have done something I have never done before. I have been to the EDGE...and it was sweet! Got my new track pants the other day, so I figured I would go and test them out. Its funny how much more confident you are when you have some knee pucks on! It is absolutely amazing how far these bikes can lean into the corners. Yes, I was "dragging my knee"!
I also got all the "teets" off my tires too. Sam, you were right. As long as I have confidence in the tires, they'll stick!
What a rush. I can't wait till our track day on the 8th. |

Drake, Looks like a little leather makes you fearless! I figured if I had knee pucks, I'd have to have the wife pull me around the neighborhood behind the truck while I skied on the pucks to make them look used. Now I can just give them to you and let you break them in. |

Nice Drake! That is awesome. Where did you pull that off? I finally got my service done last night, so I'm going to the DMV to get my registration Thursday. I'll be legal again! |

James, Believe it or not, I found an empty lot and just started making some tight turns. It was much harder then I thought it would be. As sharp of turns I was making, I doubt you could find any roads around here where you could actually drag a knee on. I was pretty much doing "hair pin" style turns in order to get the bike that far over. Then again, I might need some help on my body position. (Could use a coach!) Hey Guys, just wanted to drop a little note to thank you all again for your help and hospitality while we were out in Kansas City this past weekend. The show went very well for us overall, and your help showing us around and getting us set up was no small part of that success. Plus the feed and drinks at Famous Dave's was about the best warm meal Lindsey and I have had in a few years! So Sam, Larry and Matt thanks again and know my doors always open whenever you'd like to make your way out to Colorado to carve up some of our best mountain roads, or even if you're just out to hang out for a couple days. Thanks again! Justin
