Okay, I've decided the SS is the bike for me. My local dealership has a Sunset Orange one, but I really just don't think I can swallow it - color just doesn't do it for me. I like the black - but there isn't a black one in the state. The dealership has a Kick Ash City X that they said they'd be willing to swap over the rims and plastics on (as long as they'd fit). I'd prefer the normal S airbox cover in black... but to get the black rims out of the deal (which I like better than the amber rims that come on the Black SS) I'd be willing to sacrafice that until I could find a black airbox cover to replace the transparent Kick Ash one. The City X comes with the Pirelli Scorpions though rather than the Dunlop 208's on the SS rims... I'm guessing they'd rather not swap tires if they didn't have to. If I do opt for the City X rims and plastics think I should keep the Dunlops? Any other opinions on the swap? | ||

If they will do the swap, keep the Pirellis. They are MUCH better tires. | ||

So the CityX and the SS airbox covers should be interchangeable? The salesman said he was pretty sure they were. Also, I noticed there were some scratches on CityX's airbox cover... will they polish out with some plastic polish? (they weren't very deep scratches... just looked like someone wiped it down with a dry rag around the "X" on the top. Thanks! | ||

I think you should go with the Long, sell your Sunset parts and buy black, I think they'd be killer on the Sunset wheels. ALso, sell the dunlops and get the Pirelli's if you can swing it. On the air box ceovers, depends on whether or not the X is an 'o6 or not, plus the fact the X is a nine and the Ss is a 12, may not be a good swap, but I am not sure. I am personally trying to get the Battle blue to go with the orange. | ||
