Me too, just wore out another set of tires on my XB12R, dealer said they wouldn't replace them under warranty, I've been real understanding about this in the past, but this is the 3rd time now and my bike is still in warranty, I can't believe they are still treating me this way. |

well my belt didnt hold up to the nitrous i added to my bike and it stripped the teeth causing the bike to flip over backwards and it got totaled. its all there fault for not figuring i was going to put nitrous on it and planning ahead. obviously my bike is a lemon, but NOOOO they wont do anything about it, they just expect me to keep pounding the hell out of it and think just because it keeps running thats good enough... |

Well, laugh if you must, but my Buell mechanics style shirt melted at medium heat in the dryer and the stitching holding the velcro on my Buell Puck gloves is tearing off, so it would seem this isn't so much of a joke as you think. |

I'm with Aldaytona. This is a safety issue and should be a mandatory recall! I've gone through too many tires without any good explanation from the factory or having them covered under warranty. I may have to go to brand "X" if this keeps happening. |

hey Aldaytona.....if you bought the extended warranty that doesn't mean crap!!!!!you have to buy the extended warranty WITH the tire and wear protection...so if you didn't buy that you're SOL!!!! don't blame that mistake on the dealer...I bought it and got a nail in my tire at 1100 miles...I had to pay $8 for a $180 tire!!!! SEE IT DOES WORK!!!!! |

If it is a Vanson jacket, they are warranted for life or darn near life! |

i got you all beat. i noticed tonight that my bike is dumping bolts. the 2 bolts that mount to the front spoiler into muffler are gone. theres another 2-5 dollars i'm going to be dumping in this bike. im so tired of this. buell knows there bikes vibrate and i don't have torque wrenches so i when i put the filter on i wouldn't tighten it enough. Dealer won't warranty those bolts. (Message edited by buellblastrider on April 30, 2006) |

I got the extended warranty with tire coverage, I don't get flats, they just keep wearing out. I'm thinking Hattori_hanzo is onto something with this safety issue thing because I never had a bike shred tires like this one, thanks for the tip though, I'll try the nail thing 1st thing tomorrow, maybe in both tires, $16 is sure better than $360 and we'll see if that works. |

Thats funny..wannna hear a real story...Bought a new Buell Asphault Helmet..The Visor wore a Nice large scuff into the Helmet side when I opened it...I took it to Harley and they replaced it no questions. Wich was AWESOME! They come with a 6 month warranty Awesome!. I figured It was a fluke or something. Then new one I have wore a nice sized scuff in it too. Makes you wonder WTF? Oh well it gives it character. I agree there are some prety rediculous things put on here "bashing" what they bought. And the same people not taking on personal responsibility for their own actions/or lack of. However I have noticed there are also alot of "Buelers" who are extremely quick to bash others when they got a legitimate complaint too. Not everyones experience is like yours. I noticed this when I first started out on here....But paid little attention to it. Now I am starting to see thar sometimes people are jumped or scoffed at like teenagers very quickly for sometimes legitimate problems. In my honest opinion I think Buellers are more professional than this. If somone is a reatard and asks for they get what they ask for. However sometimes you can be making fun of someone who might legitimately be having a problem...Humm then guess what...They say to hell with the Bike and "Buellers" because they treated me like crap. Im gonna go by a Hamkawauki. Becareful use Professionalism. Now let the abuse pour down on me... |

Its good that you can defend the brand name with such vigor and humor. Brand loyalty is a quality in bikers that all manufacturers should strive for...its just a shame that some of you seem so blinkered to the faults(as hundreds of posts would testify) and,on occasion overly aggressive towards those who have had a crap experience with their bikes and have had the nerve to say so on this site. |

While I don't bash people with legitimate problems and try to help more often than not, I find that many people's delivery needs bashing. Severe bashing. Starting a thread on a Buell board with "My Buell Sucks" or "Buells suck, I can't believe I bought this P.O.S." Is the equivalent of grabbing your ankles in prison. You're asking for it. Crap experiences are going to be there. Many people are totally not mechanically inclined and made a bad decision in buying a motorcycle that you have to at least be able to recognize when things are about to fall off. I belong to a British car club and believe me, there are still people there, who bitch about their Lucas components, even when they're new. This is the "me" generation growing up and demanding their typical immediate gratification. Too bad, so sad, tough $hit. |

This thread started as an attempt at levity in the face of some rather negative posts that have been made on the board recently. It has been taken in a more serious direction, So I am going to respond in a more serious tone. Attitude is everything. When people ask for help it is usually freely given. Even when it's not asked for a lot of people here attempt to render assistance. There are some people that do get a bit aggressive in their defense of the brand. This passion for the brand is more of a defensive response than anything else. They feel as if they have been attacked when someone starts complaining about the brand and questioning the judgment of those that are loyal to it. Sometimes it is justified some times it is not. I agree that the bickering gets annoying sometimes. All we can do is try to help as best we can. Sometimes the people don't want help sometimes they don't want to ask for help. Yet other times there are people that like to light fires and stand back and watch. At the end of the day, Blake set up, and maintains this board as a playground for Buell enthusiasts. If you don't like Buells there are several places on the web that will welcome you with open arms. Just don't expect that kind of reception here. Just like you wouldn't come into my house and talk s*%t about my family. In that case I'd march your butt out the door, at gun point if you didn't go willingly. Don't take a dump on my hospitality and then ask for seconds. Know what I mean? |
