I don't know the story of the pink hat so I can't comment, but OKRA in any color is wrong! |

Chicago is worse that usual this year. AS a friend of ine says about the Dan Ryan construction "imagine the worlds busiest freeway reduced to the width of your den." Avoid if at all possible, where are you coming from? |

Since Homecoming is only about a month away I would like to start a "Head count" thread but it won't let me start any new threads here. Sooooo, to properly plan on how many pounds of Johnsonville Bratwurst I will need to get( I already have 20 ordered up for Grimace)who is coming to Appleton Friday night? To keep it simple for me as I am old and feeble minded, just post the number of people you are bringing. Or, if Blake could make this it's own thread, that would be great. |

Gentleman, Count me in for Homecoming, the ride, meet up with Bomber and crew at a meeting spot, any and all ancillary activities that may ensue during the weekend of the event. Should anyone be interested in doing a double occupancy at Country Inn let me know her or at the email address below. Keith kwkttsrch@aol.com |

Daves -- two -- me and Thang Snub -- PM me with your location, and I'll getcha some alternate routes that you can avoid the silliness in Chicago -- Brer Gess has the traffic situation correct! Sadly, if you're planning on going to homecoming, you'll NOT be able to avoid the southernmost counties of the Great Stae of Wisconsin, where the constabulary view out of state plates with great relish and glee ;-} |

Sadly, if you're planning on going to homecoming, you'll NOT be able to avoid the southernmost counties of the Great Stae of Wisconsin, where the constabulary view out of state plates with great relish and glee ;-} Depends where you are coming from. Take the ferry and avoid Chicago and Racine and Kenosha. If coming form the west get off the superslab in Beloit and ride the state roads. Anyone from the east take the ferry, if you are going first to appleton take the Badger to Manitowoc and if going to East Troy take teh Lake Express. Pretend that Chicago and the tollway don't exist. |

Dave -- good advice! if coming from the south, you can also bypass the whole mess on state roads, or slab it to Rockford (not really all that much outa the way) |

Bypass Chicago at any cost. I went through Chicago to East Troy a couple of years ago, suprised that I didn't fry my S3 in the traffic. I'll be at Appleton Friday night. |

I am bringing the SCU, Mad Aussie and myownfoolself. We'll be staying in East Troy Thursday night for doings, at the factory on Friday, off toward Appleton Friday afternoon, staying in Appleberg at the host hotel for Friday & Saturday night. For the record, I like Okra as long as it is cooked to my personal specifications....deep fat fried. But...I NEVER offered to eat Okra here. I would be pleased to slather refried beans on kringle, as long as both are reasonably good. I shudder at the thought of putting crummy beans on a perfectly good kringle. If I were coming to HOMECOMING 2006 I'd sure make certain I had a PINK hat. They are perfectly autographable and I think it would be soooooooooooooooooooo cool when we get this year's refrigerator magnet from Buell to see all the PINK hats in the photo. I think it would make a very powerful statement to the folks in GM. Court. .. uhhh..make that CULINARY COURT |

If I never see another pink hat....it will be too soon: "we sold 210,000 pink Packer caps, generating $1,050,000 for the fight against breast cancer" All I heard for 4 months was people b!tching about not having enough pink freakin' hats. Rant off...now back to your regularly scheduled Buell board...beeeeep |

Lake...A friend of mine picked up a case (I believe a gross) of the Packer Pink hats at Lambeau Field and they were gone within minutes after he got back to Milwaukee. He made the mistake of giving one to a young lady he was interested in. Once the other gals saw it, the case was history in seconds. Dang, never saw so many pink hats in an upscale restaurant. Guys, Gals, Kids, the entire staff was wearing them. It appears Farve's wife made them so popular last year that they are still the in thing. Wonder how long till the Packers switch to pink uniforms? If they do well in today's first round of draft choices, they might not have to. Then.... If any of you are into supporting Breast cancer research and want to have a little fun, Check out Hal's sister dealership, Wisconsin HD (they dropped the Buell) they have some interesting items to go along with your new pink hat. Check out the button in particular. Love the idea and wear it at their ride each year, but other than that I think it is in poor taste but they really sell!!! You can find Wisconsin HD at www.wishd.com . Incidentally, for those of you coming to homecoming, Wisconsin HD is roughly 25 miles west of Hal's, southwest of the intersection of I-94 and Hwy 67 in Oconomowoc. If Bomber and Lake take the usual fun roads between East Troy and Appleton, you may want to lean on them for a slight detour and pick one up for yourself. It is one of the most worthy causes I know of! The wife and I are involved in it virtually year round. Enjoy!!! |
