I hate wearing my modular helmet. It makes it difficult to see along the top of the helmet. I've been trying on a bunch of other helmets and they all seem to have the same problem. Because of the lean forward on the bike, my head is cocked at a downward angle and when I pull into corners, I can barely see out forward because the top edge sits so low across my forehead. |

Never have that problem with my AGV Longway. Maybe I just have a big forehead. |

Had to try a few before I found a Shoei RF-900 that worked for me. Now trying to find glasses that are tall enough for me to look through. Probably Rx shooting glasses, Rangers of some kind with straight temples. |

Had that problem a couple of years ago when I went to VIR for a track day. I feel your pain,it's very frustrating. When I got home I found some old knee pads (like carpet layers use) cut one of them up and put in top and front part of helmet and works great. Felt alittle strange the first couple of times I wore it. Now it feels normal..........Charlie |

I was thinking about putting something in the top but hated the idea of having something up there that could slip around/out. |

Try riding with glasses. Makes for even more fun. |

it actually may be a problem at the rear of the helmet, keeping you from rotating yer noggin up enough -- I've had simialr problems, and now test the helmet with that in mind |

Nah, I can crank my head enough but I have to crank it back into an uncomfortable position....actually have to look up a bit....makes it hard to look into the corner. Have no problems when I wear my half helmet. It's just the full face cames down too far on my forehead. |

If that is happening your helmet may not be fitted properly. |

or your bars may be too low -- root cause analysis is easy to skip (believe me I know!) |

Helmets should be pretty snug. Pcmodeler, you may want to check your fitment as well. I bet that's the problem. Here's a guide I found of the Scorpion website: http://www.scorpionusa.com/fitment.pdf |

PCModeler I'm 5'3" and have found that the back protector pad being sized for normal (taller than me) people will hit the rear bottom edge of my Jarrow helmet (because the bottom of the pad hits my motorcycle seat) and rotate the back up and chin down. Five minutes and an X-acto knife shaving both top and bottom of the foam back protector fixed my problem. I also wear a coolmax beannie that tightened the fit of my helmet just right. Some manufactures offer different size padding pieces for there helmets. I can get three different size cheek pieces to modify the fit of my Jarrow helmet. Hope you find a fix for your helmet vision. |
