I have the stock low profile seat. The longest I can last on it is about 2 hours. After I get off the bike, my rump hurts. There is know doubt I need a new seat. However, I noticed that the seat I have now doesnt have much throw back. What I mean is that I cant change my riding posistion by moving my butt more towards the back of the seat. The way the Buell low-p seat is contoured, you are stuck in one riding posistion. Does the Corbin have more throw back than the Buell low-p. | ||

The Corbin seat on my M2 has a lot of room back and forth. I would like a bit less room, I tend to slide forward on the seat during hard braking. | ||

Eboos, It that this seat?  I got that off eBay this winter and it has been wonderful for me. I'm 6 foot, 220ish, 33" inseam, and have longish arms. I like the room on it and it has eliminated leadbutt in a four hour ride. I don't get back against the "butt curb" on it until I'm on the highway at higher speeds. The I move back against it and get a nice lean angle/hand weight balance with the wind load. Its the only other saddle I've tried and it worked for me. I don't normally carry pax and I don't have the backrest mounted. It might get used someday though. Jack | ||

It looks like it (Gunfighter), just without the passenger backrest. I can't say that I have ever had leadbutt. Even after being on my bike for 13 hours. Everything else on me hurt (back, neck and especially my hands), but my butt was fine. Maybe too much natural padding. | ||

Here is a picture of the Corbin on my XB12S (thanks Al at American Sport Bike). I love it. I have had corbins on the last 4 bikes I have owned. Sorry I don't know how it compares to a stock low seat, as I have never ridden on a stock low seat. I've ridden 120 miles at one go on this, and was still comfy.  | ||

The pain I experienced was very localized (pretty much all along the centerline of the seating area) and distracting to the point of dangerous after 1 or 2 hours. One thing I notice about the Corbin seat is that it is quite a bit flatter and firmer than my stock seat. And it works. I just rode about 340 miles on the above corbin, and my butt is fine, Now my face and neck are a bit frozen, but that isn't the seats fault. As I said before this is my 5th corbin, they work well for me. So much so that the last 2 bikes I have bought, I got the corbin before I took delivery of the bike | ||

Mike. well Buell has a couple of seats also. the seat on mine is from American Sport Bike. Al has corbin make them with a more cut down back. After looking at the comparisons between the Corbin one and Al's version I liked Al's better. As for price, it is what it is. I didn't find the price too bad (considering I have about $600 in seating on my cruiser, but that is worth it since it keeps my better half from complaining on those 500 mile trips) | ||

I've tried the original low seat, the Corbin, the Select and the CityX seat. All I can say is, not all butts are the same because the CityX has given me the longest ride time and even that isn't perfect. | ||

I really like the Buell Streetfighter seat. Its very comfy & looks good to..........especially for the price. An added bonus is that the lines of it match in with the tank protector if you use one Cheers Murdoch   |
