Josh, A heads-up concerning some of the TE site pages, on the 2000 index page, http://teamelves.com/Events/2000_event/index.html, the links atop the page no workee. I think all the pages that use that same version graphical banner/link header no workee. |

Thanks, good catch. A lot of them don't have a correlation to the "new" site so I eliminated the links so you don't get a 403/404. |

Great shots of kids having fun. Here Sis, you can have the big bike... Good boots too, now a hand me down helmet... It can save a lot on the medical and dental bills in the long run if you get them in the habit young. They'll soon think wearing the gear is their idea and a natural part of the game. Jack |

If bicycle helmets had existed in 1973, I'm convinced I would still have a 3 digit IQ. |

+1 on the helmet idea. Not trying to preach. A family friend had a low speed bicycle accident and hit his head. He was in a coma for months, never regained full mobility or speech, and ultimately passed away from complications resulting from the accident. I always were a helmet now even on a pedal bike. |

hey Fireman jim, thanks for all the info on the ulysses. It was great to read all that info on my new bike, yes after an impressive test drive I did buy one. And i love it. Having a little trouble with the dealer I think. They filled the oil res all the way to the top! three full quarts. I had about 40 miles on it before I discovered that little factoid. also they told me that I could run it up to 3500 rpm and up to 65mph, which I did a couple of times. the book says 3000 and 50 mph max for the first 50 miles. I hope that this did not harm the bike. I any of you guys could advise me I would feel much better. Aside from that I am beyond impressed with every aspect of Eric's creation. Have had it 3 for days and had to work them all. I have 190 miles on it and am pinning for it when I am at work, and sleeping... |

No worries about the break in just don't lug it or run it to redline, vary load regularly and change the oil/filter out--I did at 500 miles and then 1500 just because.Glad to help, have fun. |

Pete, that's pretty funny. We just switched our daugther to her first 2-wheeled bike and her first comment was......it's a princess bike, but I think it used to be a Buell. Between that and her electric John Deere tractor, she is darn hard to keep up with and she is only three. Naturally spinning the rear wheel(s) is her favorite activity. |

Kyle; I'm pretty sure your XB12SS has 7/8" bars. Maybe someone owning one can confirm. Henrik |

Brian -- bars are 7/8 inch diameter, unluess someone hogged out the bar mounting points (not likely, but certainly possible) |

1 1/8" bars are the Pro-Taper type seen on dirtbikes etc.Though they would look nice on a Uly.Thought someone made a kit---?? |

I have a Super Motard with 7/8" ProTapers on them. They don't "taper" but they are nice bars with the same bends and quality that the bigger ones have. I had the Motard knocked over in a parking lot and the bars didn't get bent at all even though the rubber mounts shifted... |
