guys i need some help here. My manual does not specifically say or maybe I'm issing it that when removing the stator I also need to remove the clutch pak assembly. I know I need to remove the primary chain sprocket nut and remove that and the chain. But what about the clutch sprocket and assembly. Will it slide out once i remove the nut? Eill I need some kind of puller or will the entire assembly just slide out by hand? Will I also need the tool that looks like this to release the clutch sprocket side of the primary chain? http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=&store=Main&catI d=223&productId=pH28755&leafCatId=22302&mmyId= Clutch Spring Compressor Tool Dennis Kirk Part #: H28755 Manufacturer Part #: 080137 I did some searching on here, found one tread ( ithink it was blakes bike not charging on some ride) that some what talked about this. One person stated that on the X1 the chain and both sprockets just slide out. But on an XB you need this tool. Hmmmm.. this looks like the same tool but according to the info it's for Buell up to 2001: http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/tools/product/clutch_spring_compression_tool_for_h-d/ (Message edited by firewhirl on April 19, 2006) (Message edited by firewhirl on April 19, 2006) |
