For what its worth I found this and thought it would be useful or at least entertaining. Enjoy.

I've learned to use SuperTech filters some time ago.

I've taken a supertech filter and compared it to a bosch filter. They look the same on the outside. No clue if the media is the same. ??

Also all you have to do is match threads and gasket sizes. Instead of paying 10-12 bucks for a Briggs and Stratton filter on my Snapper I matched it up to a supertech. And the supertech filter is larger so it holds more oil.

But I use a pretty mobil1 filter on my Buell. Since its visible. And when I had a all white S1w I used K&N oil filter since it was white!!!

The extra cost for my bike is not a big deal. But on my truck think I will be running a SuperTech.

I just installed a wix oil filter on my XB. The auto parts store had a fram and a wix both cut open to show the insides. The wix had double the number of "elements". I also use castrol 20 50 in my bike and cahnge it often.
