It was warm before i changed the oil. I have been riding It. I just got back from Daytona. I have noticed the oil plug coming out a little bit but the seat stops it from coming all the way out. I put 2 quarts in it. It also has a jagg oil cooler on it. |

Start the bike with the cap off and see how high your oil is in tank--you may have had oil drain down into engine sump from sitting a bit and did not get all oil drained.Or you have a pinched vent line- |

I checked it out it had about 1/2 a quart too much oil in it. I don't know why though. I will check the ball check valve behind the oil filter next?? Thanks for the help! Jack |

Make sure that before you drain the oil that you start the bike up to allow any oil that is in the case to be purged back to the tank. Then always make your final amount that you put back in is checked with the oil warm. |

Welcome Brett! First, loose the caps, no need to shout. Second, check the suspension section of the Knowledge Vault. There are numerous threads on folks that have had their shocks rebuilt. Welcome to the addiction! Brad |

"Thanks I will check it out!" You just saved yourself from launching the oil cap into the last place you'd have looked for it and splattering everything in a 10 foot radius with oil droplets. It's funny when it happens to someone else, but it's not funny at all when it happens to you. |

BluzM2- Sorry about missing the deal today. I called earlier this morning to see if you wanted to since I couldn't get ahold of my daughter. They didn't come over until almost 2:00 and after I ate I needed to take a nap (must be this old age stuff). I'm not sure of what's up for next weekend but I understand the girls want to go shopping on saturday so that is our best bet. |

I am upgrading from my Vespa GT-200 to a larger bike, I am really taken with the Ulysses. I realize that this is quite a step, I do have 14 years previous experience on "real" motorcycles. My concerns revolve around other peoples experiences with other Buells. Particularly if anyone has a ulysses and if there is any known problems with the ulysses or with buells in general. I am a cautious rider and not into racing, or wrenching (which is why the ducatti was opted out). Unfortunately I have to act quickly if I am to finance with the delayed payment loan through the dealer, this will give me time to sell my scoot. thank you and I hope to be hearing from you...soon. t3 |

Yep, it's the Mighty Morphin' Power Ranger suit for sure. And Yep, Ladies and Gentlemen, that's Ferris Bueller himself on "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". The Lady Denise was along as well but deftly evaded the camera's eye... Jim in Santa Barbara |

Anyone remember that link that was posted with the video of the little smartcar that had the hayabusa motor in it? They were cutting donuts and just flat out beating sliding all over the place with it. I have looked and searched and can't find it. |

Hello Ebear, Bummed? I think it's GREAT. I love that EB says "Hey, this isn't right, fix it first". Good on 'em. Best, Jim in Santa Barbara |

Jim....it's not the "This isn't right, fix it first" I'm bummed about , it's the"Will not happen in time for the upcoming rounds at Barber and California Speedway"......I guess whether it's an Engineering issue or Manufacturing/Supply issue these things aren't quick to resolve even with what Erik has at his disposal.I'm surprised this didn't crop up with the considerable testing this bike has seen! |

Jerry, I'm sure you've discovered that the Aerostitch also shrinks in the low-humidity and low-temperature environment of winter? I know I have! Charlie Smallman |

Ebear, Gotcha. I misunderstood. My bad. I met EB last year up at Willow Springs when I was watching my friend Chris Matty race. Given that I am an "interested observer" in all things Buell I've got to say I like the way he goes about handling these types of things. That's how I would've handled it. I don't know about the testing and won't speculate about that. But I like his "let's get it right first" attitude. Best, Jim in Santa Barbara |
