So we have started the ball rolling on the next B'ville beast.Have work on a big motor going apace, just ordered the new Garrett ball bearing turbo custom assembled for my application from Innovative Turbo Systems(ouch!!),Jim Bantz has jumped in to build me a custom gas tank that will keep the Buell theme but allow me to lay flatter on the bike,am deep in talks with Al Lighton and Wayne Macdonald(owner of Tuneboy, turbo Triumph guy) regarding fuel injecting my beast, got another frame so I can cut with no guilt. Maybe not this year, but watch out,we are shooting for 250-300 hp on the turbo alone. |

Jim, sounds great. Its really addictive. I imagine you are shooting for a particular class. What are you thinking of running in and with all these rule changes are you content that by the time you are ready to run you'll be OK. For the three years I ran there rules stayed pretty consistent making it much easier from year to year. Bob |

OK,but I want a second opinion. And I'll need that Drs. note for absence from work. Court, did you get me e-mail RE Aus trip expenses? Bob,I may just tell the SCTA to stuff it as I know Terry and I are talking about going to the Bub's meet this year.AMA and FIM rules, they pay money out, and you can get a for real "world record" as the FIM is the only sanctioning body that can give one out. And really, the classes I run in(blown pushrod) the records are all pretty soft as not alot of supercharged or turboed Harleys etc running.I just want to keep going faster, get my 200 MPH club hat, and end up with the worlds fastest Buell--not too much to ask.And get up near the speeds the turbo jap bikes are getting,too--250 +/-. |

What, you asked your alter ego?? Darn, well I guess I just have to learn to live with my disease--I understand it's progressive and will need more and more agressive treatments. |

Move away from this mainstream medicine; go with an old Australian traditional herbal remedy. Coopers Pale Ale in large dose's after LSR events, will not cure the problem but will often make the solution clearer . |

I got word from Snail that his turbo Gix 1000 is up and running really well!! Hopefully he will be down in the near future to put it on Terry's dyno. And I want to be there, never seen a bike pull 300-400hp on a dyno before, should be a treat. Bonneville is gonna be real fun this year!! |

Itty bitty little hair dryer ain't it. I would really consider speaking with the infamous Mr. Dickey about going to a base bolt pattern ductile cylinder for that biatch. Given the amount of cylinder pressure that you are going to build the moment of inertial pressure the on the cylinder base area is going to be pretty extreme. Not to mention tying the cylinder head down with a little something more that 4 conventional head bolts. Go ahead and fire ring the heads and run them directly on the cyls. with Viton o-rings. You wouldn't want to get out there at the "2" and lift a head off. That would tend to suck. Just my humble .02 BN |

Wow! That "little hair dryer" looks to be significantly larger than the one I had pumping up the 350 CI V8 in my Chevelle SS back when. The old '70 SS didn't have an intercooler either, just some boost activated water/alcohol injection. |
