Just wanted to throw this in everyone's ear. Jinance had mentioned it. Well as I have stated before, you all are welcome to come spend the weekend here. I got some floor space and couple couches, blow up beds, and about two acres of clean, clear camping space. Whatever you want, I cannot speak for Mike Warren, but he is only a 15 min ride away. We are on the edge of some great all day riding here, whether it be aggressive sport, or enjoyable sport, or cruise. MorrowMountain State park is always a site to see on weekend mornings(2-300 bikes parked along the stone walls, everyone chatting). At the end of last week, we took the 4th grade classes hiking there. There are a lot of 'EASY' rated trails which were quit interesting. Hike up to the dam on lake Tillery. Whole trip took our class about 1hr-1 and half. I have plenty of firewood for a bonfire, got cooler space for IceHouse, or others, and whatever the kids drink. I got 5 dogs that will keep you amused, there are not bad, plus if need be I could put them up at the mother-in-laws(hehehehhahahahain very sinister 1313 laugh!! house if I had to. Got about 250 DVD's for those kids who get bored. Have a stereo in the back yard. I just need some Adventure rider's!! Let that bug crawl around for a while. I plan to make make it to the next meeting if the bike is done by then. JIM |

Sounds like a great C3Jr adventure. Plus us adults who want to act like kids would love it also. We will definately put it on the agenda for the next meeting. |

U4euh - Sounds like a plan. Morrow Mtn sounds good, it was where I was thinking when I originally suggested this. Primarily because my daughter loves to swim in the pool there. So as long as I can squeeze that into the agenda, I think she will be happy. I've found planning these things tends to go better when there are specifics to discuss, so let me throw out a tenative proposal, and see if you like it. On a Saturday yet to be determined, we meet up at the summit of Morrow Mtn at about 11:00. From there we ride into Albemeral for lunch. After lunch we ride back to the park for "free time." This is when I'll take my daughter swimming, but if swimming isn't your thing, you can hike, or just ride around. After that we all ride back to U4euh's house for a cookout. I believe Rebecca is planning on bringing my son in the cage, so we will have at leas one car available to haul stuff. |

Carlee is really looking forward to this C3 Jr. Adventure. She loves the Uly and thinks it cool that we've have "C3 Jr.". Sounds like you guys have a pretty good plan and the children will enjoy themselves. Thanks Jim and Jim! Kristi |

U4euh...I'll more than likely take you up on the offer again, even though my kids are now grown. I really enjoyed the last bonfire. Man, it was pretty darned cold out there. Those fine dogs of your's seemed to enjoy it too. I did not know you now have a fifth one. I'll tie a tent and bag to the rack for this one. Later Jim, Mike S. |

Twig, always welcome at my house! The 5th is the lab that I found on the side of the road 7 months ago. Lady could not treat him right, so we "reposessed" him. Jinance-I like the plan. We could all ride to the top, ride down to the boat ramp, hike up to the dam, then go to the pool.? (Message edited by u4euh on February 17, 2006) |

Good stuff! We need to look at a time frame. I'd like to do this late enough in the year that the kids can go swimming, but earlier in the season. May? too late? too early? I know that Home Coming is in June around Memorial Day and I was thinking that this ride could be in May. I know Kristi will be taking the kids to Cincinnati in at this time and I was just thinking of spreading out the rides. (Message edited by M2nc on February 18, 2006) |

I like the way you think. As early as possible while still being warm. Which is probably May. I've got my kids on the 13th and the 27th. The 13th is my birthday. Spending my birtday with you all and my kids sounds like a plan. Is this good for you all? I MM callender, and the pool isn't open until June. I still think I'd like for us to go in May. I can take the kids back some other time to swim. As long as the pool isn't open, they wont give me grief about it. More Info |

Great link Jim. My schedule is pretty open guys and gals. My daughter would love to swim also, but like Jinance said, if it is closed she won't give me no grief about it. I personally wouldn't mind including some other sights to see, is the pool thing is not open on chosen ride dates. There has got to be many things that the kids would enjoy. And me being on the bike with fellow riders is all that matters to make me happy, anything else is just a plus! |

Jim N - You are reading my mind. Carlee and Baylee are in a wedding on May 6th, so I was thinking May 13th also. Let's shoot for that date. Does anyone have a problem with May 13th for the C3 Junior Ride? |

FWIW, Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2006 is May 12-21, 2006. It is where the single adults that want to act like kids will be. 1313 |

Is May 13-14 still the date for the C3 Jr. Ride? Time is ticking away. Jim R and Jim N -- looking your way for direction and the green light. I'll be staying home with the other 2 children, but will be willing to send goodies or $$ to Tonya and Jim for goodies. Just let me know what they need to bring. Kristi |

May 13th sounds grand. I will be going to Myrtle the following weekend. Don't really know what we need yet as I don't know who all to expect. Mike W has graciously offered a place to sleep at his house if it gets too crowded here.So let's get this thing rolling. Kristi you can always come and just enjoy a vacation away from home! |

Kristi - Somewhere I had a tentative schedule. I'll go dig it up later and see if I can firm things up. I don't believe we really need anything for the ride itself. Jim R would probably like an idea of how many people are staying at his place, and some supplies for that would be good. Rebecca has to work that Saturday, so she will only be around for the part at Jims house if at all. That also means she can't look after my son, so I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do with him while I ride with Tricia. |

Jim R -- I appreciate the offer, but I'm going to stay home to take care of the dogs and this gives Carlee time with her Daddy without the little ones around. Sometimes she feels that the little ones get all the attention, gotta love those hormones! |

Hi, I will not know my wifes schedule until closer to those dates. I also do not know what kind of medical things we are looking at with my son as some things in that area have come up. And he really is not able to ride with me so it would be more of a camp out only thing for him. I am hoping to go, just not 100% sure on things yet. Larry |

OK, time to make a few more plans. This will make more sense if you read the 3rd posting in this thread where the initial plans are laid out. We are meeting at the summit of Morrow Mtn. Sat May 13 at 11:00 am. Of course a large part of the fun will be getting there, but people are comming from all different directions so I can't organize that part. If everyone who is going posts here, then people can hook up and ride in together. Here is a Google Maps link which has our destination at one end. You can change the start destination after you click on it to get your own route. I thought Rebecca was going to drive behind us but that is not going to work out. It would be nice to have a car there so we could take some snacks & drinks. If anyone has a spouse who wants to drive this with us, let me know. After we meet at the summit, we will ride into Albemaral (3 miles) for lunch. Then we can hang out at the park for a while. Thats free time. You can ride, hike, canoe or do whatever you like. It's a pretty place, you shouldn't have problems finding something enjoyable to do. At 4:30 we can meet up at the lake, and then ride back to Jim's place as a group. I'll leave the planning of what goes on after that to Jim. :-) How does this sound to everyone? Please post and let us know if you're comming to the mountain, and if you're going to Jim's. And you certainly aren't required to have kids to participate. |

Carlos - If you want to ride down the night before, I've got a spare room for you, and Tricia has half a bunk bed for Carlee. |

Who needs a car when you've got 2 Uly's going with bags??? You can fit a small soft side cooler with juice or water and snacks in the other bag! We'll work it out. Count Carlos and Carlee in for the mountain and Jim's house for the evening. Kristi |

Jim N - That might be a good option. I thought you were headed more south than west. I'm thinking it might be a good idea for Carlos to trailer to your house and ride from there. I'm a little concerned about Carlee riding for 5 hours straight, not convinced she'll stay awake yet! I'll mention it to Carlos and let him get back to you. Any problem if he parks the trailer and van at your house or on the side street? Kristi |

Will you be coming down the same route you took last time Jim? If so, we could meet at the same place and have an enjoyable ride up there, I have been scouting the area for some fire roads, and have found a few that are promising. Don't know if you all will want to do that or not??? Was nothing that the my 9S couldn't do with 2 up. Does everybody want to bring a tent and camp, or just crash on the available space that I have? I'll take care of dinner, you provide your beverage of choice. Steak, potato's and corn-onthe-cob, with bread sound ok? |

Speaking of evening entertainment. Any ideas? I live out IN the country, so about anything is within reason. Don't know if you all enjoy firearms target shooting, but I got a few toys. Got a go-cart that some of the younger ones may enjoy. Plus the huge pile of wood that has been drying for the last 2 months for a big bon fire. Marshmellows? S'mores? ghost stories? Kick up some ideas, and let's see what lands. |

YES! Fire, Guns, & Go-Karts. I'm so excited. I got a taste of some of this when we went to my grandmothers house. But my daughter has never seen anything like it. I think she will love it. |
