I can't resize my pictures (don't know how on a mac) so I can't post a picture...but... If you are standing on the right side of the bike (right if riding) and down at motor height... looking between the tubes on the rear cylinder, right in the middle of the cylinder is a plastic(?) thing with a wire coming out of it. I assume that the wire leads to the engine temp sensor, but is the plastic thing just a cover for it??? Is it supposed to be loose?? I noticed it because with the engine running, it was bouncing around...After it cooled I used a screwdriver and could actually lift it out... Is this NORMAL??? If someone can tell me how to shrink a picture I could maybe post it... |

If you have IPhoto, you click on the picture to highlight it, then hit the 'email' button and it will give you a 'new mail' page and ask you the size you want to make the shot. Select 'small', then after it has done that, you can drag the photo to the desktop and delete the out-going email. Now you have a re-sized photo on the desktop, and when you click on the upload attachment action on the badweb page - just select the photo from the desk top. It should be small enough to be accepted by the badweb system. I'll bet someone here knows a much faster and easier way, but that's how THIS Mac using-computer nincumpoop manages to get photos on the Badweb! You may need to tell us what year and model bike that rattly black plastic thingie is on so we can decipher if it is 'sposed to shake or whatever it's doing, or not. None of my carb'd bikes have anything like that on them, so ya better hope someone else can sort that out - I am willing to bet that it has something to do with head temperature, though! Good luck! (You are welcome for the photo assistance!) AL |

Yes that's the temp sensor. I don't know if there is anything loose on mine. (My X1 is in the shop for tranny fun right now) |

Actually, my temp sensor is on the head...right next to the rocker box.. there is a rubber/plastic cover fro it..if you lift it up, you shouold see what looks like a bolt, with a wire coming out of it.. Chase |
