I had some soft case saddle bags on my x1-- they would rub on the rear tire. two 5/16 threaded rod, 4 nuts, black paint, drill, drill bit, 5/16 tap, less than 20 minutes Simply drill and tap into the bottom of the tail. Screw the rod in. one bolt on top one bolt on the bottom. Simple, cheap, effective, and easy to remove. |

Cool...but you might want to slide some plastic tubing over the threaded rod to preserve your saddlebags from the sharp threads. |
