Greetings All
I've got an Amazon Green 2000 S3T. I HATE that big-ass breadbox on the right side of the bike. My lower fairing just cracked at the lower mount point, so I'm using this as my excuse to re-style that side of the bike. I'm ordering a KuryAkyn Hypercharger to replace the breadbox and I'd like to get a right fairing off an S2 so both sides of the bike are symetric. I would think this would be an easy thing to do with little or no modification really needed. Has anyone else attempted this or know about what would be involved?

Interesting idea. My Amazon Green 2000 S3T only has a left side fairing because I have a forcewinder instead of the breadbox. Let me know what you figure out. I would like to add a right side fairing too.

Having seen the S2 fairing on several S1's I know it can be done but don't have any info..

Thanks guys for the input. My thinking is that the upper frame of the S2 and S3 have to be the same, if not there is very little difference. Since the smaller lower fairing portion attaches to a single bolt on a flange that comes off the motor, it couldn't be too hard to do this. Stone Mountain Harley quoted me over $400 for a package of both L & R fairing lowers as they didn't see a way to get just one. I've found a company called Airtech that has 2 versions of the right fairing lower; one is the OEM Domestic style, the other was OEM for Export. Both are priced at $80 each. I will let you know what I discover as I progress with this.

Hal: Unless you're going with the Hypercharger because you like the looks of it, I seem to recall you can do better, performance wise, with either the Force intake or the Buell race AC.

Hey Henrick
I have to admit part of it is because I like the looks of the Hypercharger and not because of performance considerations. I'm happy with my current power levels so this is more to get that ugly wart off the side of the bike that is the OEM air box. I liked the Hypercharger on my FXR I had before the Buell, so I wanted to go with it again.

Hey again Henrick
No problem Bro and I took as constructive information. I'm pretty happy with the bike at its OEM power specs, so I wasn't looking for a power increase here. But with that said, even if the Hypercharger isn't as great as the Force or Buell Racing filters, it just has to be a hell of a lot better than that god-awful OEM airbox!

But I will admit I'm kinda noodlin' about taking those faux front air vents in the front fairing and add some real ductwork along with a pair of fans to push (cool) air towards the hypercharger and to help cool the cylinder heads, especially the rear.

Here in Atlanta, our traffic is positively insane with a lot of stop and go BS. I've found this to not be a good thing for the Buell, so any additional cooling I can get to the cylinders will be most beneficial.

But with that said, I love this part of the country. In under an hour, I can be in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In three, I can be down in Savannah just off the ocean. There is always a cool route just around the corner to go riding on!

The company I work for has not one, but THREE cabins by Lake Burton, just below Clayton Georgia right at the old LaPrade's Encampment. The roads around it are simply spectacular! I plan to make good use of one of the cabins this spring and summer for sure! Best of all, it's about 90 minutes to two hours from my place in Atlanta!

Hal; as for cooling, it may be worth taking a look at the fan that was installed on some overseas bikes (Japan, I think). As far as I know it mounts behind the rear cylinder a bit out of sight. It won't help much as far as getting air to the intake, but may be an easier way to add some cooling than running ductwork from the front. One of our sponsoring dealers should be able to help you out with info on the fan.

Sounds great about the mountain rides and access to cabins. Bring a camera and post a trip story once in awhile.

Hey again
Well, I guess I don't have to worry about anything with my Buell. In the middle of a terrible storm, somebody pulled up to my place and stole the bike from my carport between 4:30 and 8:30 last night! My roommate saw it at 4:30 and it was gone when I stepped out this morning. Since it had a rotor lock on it, they must have picked it up and put it on a trailer or the back of a pick up. I am just flabbergasted. At least the bike is fully insured and Stone Mountain H-D is giving me an appraisal letter to make sure I get as much for it as possible.

Both myself and the insurance company think we won't see the bike again as this has all the trimmings of a professional theft. We're betting the bike is going to be parted out and is probably apart now, 10 hours since it was taken.

At least for your guys, I'm going to put up a few parts on ebay. I've got both the fat and thin formed luggage for the bag, a set of the thin bag shells, and my factory workshop manual. I'm thinking I may go up to a V-Rod from here since my riding style is more cruiser-touring oriented.

This was the last thing I thought I'd wake up to today!

Damn,I just saw this thread and was reading through with interest when I got to your last post.Having had a bike stolen before I know how much that sucks!!!
I hope your insurance guy is good. Only plus is now you get to go buy another Buell--and the market is really good for buyers now.
