Mine was about 750-800 miles on my M2. I've done a couple of those. The run from Breckenridge CO to Kearney NE may have been longer. We went by way of Steamboat.. |

All I know is I stopped by East Troy on the way back, and someone popped there head out from the door behind the reception desk, asked me where I was going on the S2. I said Philly to Colorado and back. They asked "Stock seat?" I said "yeah" they said "sorry" and ducked back behind the door.

1600 miles... Detroit to Poconos to VA to NY to Detroit
A whole lot of rain and 2 broken exhaust studs. A great group of guys at the local dealership in the Poconos were a great help. Offered me a great deal on a Baker's 6-speed as well. (Message edited by shadowracerx1 on April 06, 2006) |

Shadowracer wins the thread! So did the muffler shake loose, putting weight on the headers? |

My longest one day ride 650 miles on my 99 M2. From Grifton NC to Cincinnati OH. I rode 1350 miles in three days of that trip. My longest ride between gas stops I rode 184 miles on the Uly non-stop coming back from MBIII last week end. That was an 1100+ mile trip in three days. Daytona this year was the longest trip on the Uly. 600 miles in one day (two days with a day break in between, plus about 150 miles while there. |

Natex: The muffler was solid. The nuts kept backing off and the header banging against the stud did the rest. |

1062 miles in an IBA saddlesore last summer...Lincoln, NE -> Twin Falls, ID. The S3T did a fine job of it, though crossing Wyoming sucked. |

Yo Shadow, was it Schaffers HD in the Pocono's? They rock, the best HD dealer I have found for Buell's. The head mechanic there had an X1 and knows the tricks. They are 150 miles away but I ride there for service. When I need parts I buy them from DaveS instead of visiting my local three dealers. The delivery is faster and they don't mind my calling and spending money. My dealers (except one parts guy) seem a little perturbed when I show up unannounced and expect to be waited on. I think they wanna sell chrome and $60 skull keys and not cheapo Buell parts. |

I rode a '99 X1 from Ky. to Fl. stayed a week and came back. Overall it was about 2500 miles. I am also planning an iron butt ride sometime this summer. AND I'M STILL ON THE STOCK SEAT. |

you're right Nate but after I sit on some of my buddies lazy boys on wheels it's not so comfortable to go back to. And I'm starting to widen out since I first bought it six years ago, but I still enjoy it. |

White Gold 1997 S3. Northridge, California to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin & back. One trip with the 1997 seat. Another trip with the 2000 seat. The old girl has 49,799 miles on her. No oil leaks, no major problems, and still runs great. |

Tampa to Buffalo, Buffalo to the Tim Horton's in Saint John's. Longest single day Fontana Village to somewhere near New Buffalo, MI. Not exactly sure where 'cause grndskpr ditched me in the AM. Mapquest mileages are: 1243 1951 605 My calculations say that Newfie rode AT LEAST 2500 miles (on an S1WL) to the 20th and I got lost due to being given really bad directions in Illinois, my speedo was broken but I think I did at least 700, maybe 750 - 16 hr. ride.
