I swear, am I cursed!? Last season I looped that wheelie, I'm just now getting back to working on it to make it roadworthy, and BAM, it tips over on my jack, ruining that bottle jack portion. I got that fixed, and had cosmetiaclly fixed the previous wounds, now the jack did it's own damage! I even dropped it trying to turn tight in my driveway last year two-weeks after I got it! Does my bike hate me? Do I need black magic or something to cure my ills? | ||

Sounds like you need a ground strap like the chains on some flammable liquids trucks. That would get rid of this nasty magnetic attraction between your bike and the ground. Sorry, not trying to make light of your situation. Sounds like maybe you need to slow down a bit. These things tend to happen when we are in a hurry. | ||

I can't tell you how I've dropped mine when in a hurry or just not paying attention. One time just taking it off the trailer, my hand got mashed, required surgery AND I still dropped the bike, broke the fairing, windscreen and besides, bled all over the bike. Another time was moving it off of the stand (too proud to ask for help) - tipped it over and it fell onto my toolbox - mashed the lid of the toolbox - broke the windscreen and I had to hammer out the dents in the toolbox so it could close. | ||

Long time ago... At the future X's... With a Ninja, and a Front Disc Lock on... Very pissed off and took off hard.... It was ugly. Amazing the amount of damage... Worst part was her up on the steps laughing...  The XB has not been down yet... Knock on wood... | ||

I think it's pissed at me for crashing last season, or procrastinating on getting it ready for this season. Just like a woman, never satisfied. I suppose, if it's got tits or tires, it's gonna give you trouble! | ||

I was leaving an office in L.A. and actually got hit on by a drop dead gorgeous Redhead as I was unlocking my helmet. We talked for ten minutes she said she wanted to go for a ride and asked for my phone number. I forgot all about the disc lock in the front wheel and promptly tossed the bike into the middle of the street as she watched. She never called  | ||

Years ago I was hanging out at Hermosa Pier right about the time the Harley thing kicked off again when I saw the following happen right next to me. Guys pulls in with a new Harley (paper plates) reving the hell outta the motor as he comes down the pier making lots of noise. Pulls in to a parking space still making lots of noise mixed in with lots of looking around to make sure everyone notices him. You guessed it. Gets off the bike and barely has his helmet off before the bike hits the ground. I fell to the sidewalk right next to him LMAO. I had tears streaming down my face it was so damm funny. Vengence was his though it was not a couple of weeks later when I made a supreme assmonkey out of myself in front of the redhead. | ||

Practice, practice and more practice. Encourage me and I'll tell you the story of putting my 1989 Zx-7 onto a moto trailer one afternoon. I think I ended up replacing a turn signal, mirror and TWO body parts, at the end of the day. Always have a friend there to help you, I didn't that day. | ||

Tried to put the kickstand down, pants leg hangs up on foot peg, kickstand never makes it, over we go. Minimal damage: foot peg, clutch lever, pride. | ||

kickstand not fully extended, peg,shift lever, primary cover and pride. the worst part is later that week i had a trip from maryland to north carolina with a pin hole in the primary cover ( jb weld does wonders, new one on order)  feel crapy about it . | ||

When I was in the Navy I was stationed in the San Francisco bay area for a couple of years. At the time I was riding japanese machinery and there was the usual division amongst riders from our ship between the H-D crowd, and the rest of us. While returning from a trip up the 1 in Marin County Our riding group, about 20 of us on various japanese bikes came to a stop at a sign outside of the base. we had formed up single file so we could file past the gate guard with minimal hassles. Up from behind us comes a pair of the H-D guys. They blow past the whole group riding in tandem. You can imagine the thoughts going through some of our heads....right up until they stop, then the one on the right apparently forgets to put his feet down because he's so busy being Mr. Cool. (no offense intended mr_cuell) He slowly tips....to the left, onto his buddies bike. Most of us were laughing as we rolled on through. They weren't hurt, other than their damaged egos. Remember that these guys had been invited to ride with us on several occasions. | ||

Damn and blast them stupid disc locks, looks like they have humiliated one or two of us in the past, threw mine in the lake years ago, Some people tie string round the lock and the other end round the throttle, but i think that confirms rider is absent minded.umm must try that LOL  | ||

years ago when I was a broke college kid had my first real street bike, CX500 honda. Road real well in all conditions cept for when it warmed up or I tried using the front brake. something was wrong with the master cylinder and wouldn't release fluid back to the res. Made the mistake of not just draining it untill I could aford to fix it and found some early spring sand turning an intersection. luckily nuthin hurt but my pride, bike didn't even git a scratch. | ||

Just ordered a xena disc lock, I'll probably use the remove before flight streamer on it. When I was 16 I had a Yamaha RD250A. Small town, My buddies at the gas station, Me on bike on ice at stop light. Someone yells my name, I turn my head and drop the bike. ,R.D. |
