Priorities change as you get older. When I was in my twenties in the AF, I would drink till 0200, be at the squadron, shat-showered-shaved, for a 0600 roll-call, work a full 12-hour shift consisting of flying, shooting guns, dropping grenades, rapelling, fast-roping, and then head back to the clubs after work to do it all over again. Why someone couldn't get up for a 0800 ride on a beautiful Saturday morning is a bit puzzling to me. The rest of the group is to be at Gail's at 0930. |

Are you kidding me James? I'm going to the boats tonight followed by closing down the outhouse..And the only reason I might not ride tomorrow is because Dahlia might need to work Sat. She is trying to switch that to Sunday, so I should know later today...MAN UP.... Larry |

D@mn you all!!!!!!!!!! Saturday I have two things going on work and in-laws, I am not sure which is worse or more painful. I REALLY want to head out on the ride with you all no matter what the reason. Depending on how the day goes I may be able to make it to the stunt show, I am not holding my breath that's for sure. If you are planning on something that night or sunday keep me posted. I will be out on the POS and I will keep my eyes open for you all. Also if you are out at the edge of the earth and need a pit stop feel free to stop and off the neighbors. |

Larry are you at home? I want to come get my bike. Post back up and let me know. Man it is fun giving you old guys a hard time! As for the ability to get up early after a hard night of drinking, I used up all of those while I was in college. Ever since I started working I just haven't been able to do it like I used to. Back in school we drank every night till about 0200 as you put it and got up for work or school the next day at 0800 or so. Well, unless it was a really bad night. Class was one of those things that you tried to go to, but it wasn't that important! ha ha. Everybody knows you learn more from being at school than you do from being in school! |

My bike is getting its 5k facial and foot massage at the moment. It went for its first pick-up ride this morning. I am having the tires swapped for Scorpion Syncs. |

I'll be at IHOP at 0800 for sure. Weird thing happened at the dealership. Some dude on a red Firebolt went ballistic on the techs and service manager while I was waiting for my bike. Apparently, they accidentally dropped his bike and broke a peg feeler and maybe another part or two, but it was apparently still ridable. The tech told him that the parts were on order, and he apparently didn't like that. He started yelling profanity at the top of his lungs calling everyone names and shit. They finally got him calm and he eventually left. I stayed and talked to Jim and the CityX Eric for awhile. On my way home, I saw a red Firebolt laying in the median on 150 at the turn just east of the river completely thrashed with a cop car pointing lights at it. I noticed a single skid mark leading off the westbound lanes straight into the median. He must have been carrying some serious speed, but I assume the guy was okay and sitting in the car with the cop since there was no body, no tow truck, and no ambulance. Pretty ironic huh? |

Jim said that he talked to the guy for a little while and that he seemed pretty nice. He even told him he should join BRAG. He wasn't aware of the temper tantrum the dude threw down in the service area. Funny thing is, Jim had said the guy was from Gardner, so I thought about turning around and pulling behind the cop car to see if the guy wanted a ride anywhere, but thought better of it because he seemed like such a hot head. I still hope he was unhurt. The bike appeared to have tumbled from what I could see. The dirt median was pretty well torn up. |

I understand accidents can happen, but a motorcycle dealership dropping a motorcycle just blows my mind. How could anybody let that happen? To me thats comparable to a doctor leaving medical tools inside someone's body...you just don't do it! |

The natural state for a bike is on its side. I sort of think if you move enough bikes around, chances are good one will succumb to gravity. That guy doesn't have to worry about the damage from the drop at the dealership anymore. |

"I understand accidents can happen, but a motorcycle dealership dropping a motorcycle just blows my mind. How could anybody let that happen? To me thats comparable to a doctor leaving medical tools inside someone's body...you just don't do it!" Hehe, believe me when I say this....it's not "if" it happens, its "when". All you can do is try to dive under it (seen that before). Us greaseballs can make mistakes too, you know Good ride last week fellas! Sam, twas fun as always. Fester and I could see your swelled(....is that even a word?) melon all the way to the back, cause I just know you were thinkin' "Yup, yup, yup, ahhh......That's right cagers, I'm the leader of this rag tag bunch of misfits!" Seriously though. I had a great time. It was nice meeting everybody, even though I still get all the names and bikes confused (the ones I can remember)! Bart, my buddy has a '75 CB 250 with 7500 (I think) original miles on it. I don't think they made 4 cylinders in that displacement, did they? LOL, I was half shitfaced when I was looking at it, but will find out tomorrow for sure. He said he'd like a grand for it. It's REALLY clean. I was surprised. It needs tires and a good dusting. Post up if you're interested. I'll try to log in again soon. Oh, and I don't know why I picked the horse toon up there....I just busted up when I first seen it LOL Ok, I'm done Frank |

that was a memorable ride, for those of you that haven't done this often...it's damn near impossible to put together a ride on roads like that in this area...I thought it was impossible. I need better maps! very nice Loren. still shocked about the route. those of you who didn't make it, hahahha, you missed a HELL of a ride... how about next time we turn around at excelsior and run it backwards...... |
