It's an evolving thing. The bike is going to finish the season being raced for me by Jeff Dixon, and we're fully sponsored by Bartels.

Higbee sent us spare bodywork so now all the Bartels road race bikes look the same.

Note: you CAN crash an XB without frame sliders! (you can still see the blue from my Arai helmet crushed into the left side case. We're leaving it on for luck)

I've got a Hals set of bodywork on the bike.

That 818 is Patrick McGinley's S1 racebike with a VR1000 upper fairing (good eye, hope you didn't think we had a VR in the pits!)

Steve-

I dunno if I can quite handle "Lavin-Yurassov" and "official" in the same THREAD - let alone the same sentence...

The bike does look dandy, though. Do you have any sponsorship lined up for when you get back in the saddle?

Saro,

The sponsorship deal holds when I get back into the saddle... kinda kewl.

Bill Bartels will still maintain the bike. Might even keep paying tires and fees... we'll see.

Don't forget that one of the board sponsors: racingmotorcycles.com also sells race plastic.

I was wondering that very thing, and how much it was going to cost me : )

Racingmotorcycles.com is not a board sponsor.

I spent some time talking with Jeff Ecklund about the VR1000 and how it handled and its brakes. Coulda been something if HD would have committed... but alas...

M2! gotchya. (y'know all them tubers look alike)

Fer sure it aint a VR though!

Looks like top end work won't be done in time for the next race weekend, Dixon will ride the big Bartels bike to keep on the points chase.

YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!

I just picked up the COOLEST Sponsor!

Sandra Lara - the cartoonist that did my old Muell racing logo I ran in Novice

Muell

She does art/graphic work for a living and we're gonna trade PR work for each other. She does some really awesome comics which are sportbike based at http://www.madgirlcomix.com/CrashGirlcomix.html

She cut us a bunch of slack designing our cornerworkers fundraising t-shirts here for Willow Springs:

Sharkbait

Don't forget her comics:
