I just got my Vanson Ventmax III last night. In the past I've bought a couple of leather jackets (one vented, one not), one of cordura (not vented), and I have always suffered in these jackets. The heat in SW Fl is oppressive and I've been eyeing the Mesh Jacket market for the past year. Advice from this board led me to do some research. I found Vanson (respected name/quality product) had an item called a Ventmax Shirt (see http://www.vansonleathers.com/product_pages/jackets/vmx_ventmax.htm) and a Ventmax II. In fact Vanson is making this Ventmax II for Buell (see http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes_gear/apparel/productslist.asp?Menu_ID=1&ID=2129 &MITEM=71). When I called I asked the sales lady about CE armor as an option- She said as luck would have it they were making a Ventmax III with CE armor for only $139.00. I tried on a Buell Ventmax II at a dealership (not my local Buell dealership) and the XL size fit me close but not claustraphobic. *I normally wear an XL-XXL. This jacket flows a HUGE amount of air, Has CE Armor, and is of a high quality fit and finish. I will post pics later. | ||

I've had te Buell logoed Ventmax II for about 4 months and love it. It is amazing how many people notice it and comment on it. I also got an XL and it is a little big, but it allows me to carry and wear the vest liner for my leather jacket under it when the sun goes down. | ||

My II is a medium. I wish the sleeves were about 1/2" - 1" longer. A III is on the radar in a Large.  | ||
