Latest Zombie Tunes - just out today! IMO, Rob seems to have mellowed out since putting out two KICK ASS movies. Or could it be being married to Sheri Moon having that effect? Mike- Lights on:
Lights off:
I had kinda considered it at first. Then I thought it wouldn't be a good idea because there will be SERIOUS riding going on and most people won't focus on alcohol consumption. Now that I see there is some interest ??? Right now the bottle is about 3 times the size it needs to be. - translated - Right now the bottle is about 1/3 full. So there ain't much of it left... If I'd ever get sent back to Germany, I'd sneak a bottle in. Sucks that I never did in the 5 times I was sent there. What else? - The world's dirtiest V-Rod. but it has been known to look like this:
errr, wrong shot there, I meant look like this:
or this:
- Camera. Sorry it takes the picture faster than I can move it so I can't get a picture of it. - Watch. - Wallet. - Spectacles. - Testi.... wait, got on another checklist there.... Sorry about that. - chips - dips - chains and whips... seriously got on another checklist this time... Really sorry about that one. That one ain't exactly for public consumption - if ya know what I mean. Whattya say we leave it at whatever I pack tomorrow night? How's that sound? Wouldn't want to be ready too far in advance... 1313 |

Twig -- do mapquest on these two addresses and you will have the directions you need C3 Central - 9296 Laurel Woods, Suches GA T.W.O. - 3580 St. Hwy 60, Suches GA See you Friday Kristi |

Brankin.....I picked up Educated Horses as well. I agree with your mellow comment. I do believe that the lyrics are just as sinister though. Me, Silverbullet and Bunny went to the Zombie show here in Atlanta last Weds. at the Tabernacle. If your not familiar with The Tabernacle, its an old church that sits only 2000. (how fitting, right) The show was killer! He played mostly older stuff and some off the new album. He also had a big screen behind him playing Horror, Anime and burlesque vids. A lot of T&A to say the least. I'll give the show 8 out of 10 bare breasts. Only because the two opening bands were terrible! See ya Friday. |

All, just a moment of sobriety before the party. Let's all try to keep somewhat in our comfort zone on the bikes this weekend. For those who have not been to the Dragon on a busy weekend, I'll offer the following observations that also apply the most of the roads we will be riding on. There are many decreasing radius curves on the route. It is the mountains in the Spring and there will be gravel/sand in some curves. Many folks do not see the need to stay in their lane so expect to see somebody headed your way. On the Dragon, when it's really busy, expect flyby rockets on either side. Watch your mirrors and hold your line. When pulling onto or off the Dragon be careful some folks don't always slow down at the turn around areas. The law usually makes a BIG statement on busy weekends especially early season. It may very well be quite busy there this weekend. I may have overstated the case, so don't fret. I have many trips though the Dragon both solo and with my son on the back and all went well. It's gonna be a great. Can't wait! |

Thanks Mike, I am a Dragon newbie so it is good to know. They expect rain so maybe it will not be too busy. Its going to be fun. Okay you started it so some ground rule that I picked up last year at Suches. 1. Ride Your Own Ride. We all need to stay with in our own 80% capability (20% Oh S@#* factor). Do not try to match pace with any other riders (Especially Eric), it will mess you up. 2. Do not worry that you will be left behind. At the next turn off the group will wait for you, or you may be waiting on me, either way we will not leave anyone behind. If you are in front, just try to confirm that the bike behind you made it through the last set of curves. The area is fun at any speed and you will have to get accustomed to the tight radius curves. The last time I was there for four days and I think I saw the north side of 80mph once. For the most part you are running between 20-60mph, and trust me, on some sections that will be all you can safely do. I am soo ready!!! |

#2 is very important to me. One thing I always tell somebody that has never ridden with me. There is 3 way off the Dragon, the way you are going, the way you came, or by helicopter. The 3rd option we don't want none of. Couple of other people might be making the trip up with us from Suches. I believe Paint_Shaker wants to do the Dragon as well as New12r. I'd like to see New12 rippin some corners in person. |

I wanna put new12 out in front to let him clear out the LEOs. I'll be a couple of miles behind. By the way, google says its 80 miles from Sutches to Deals Gap (and 2:30). Thats a little further than we have been estimating. That still work out timewise if we go to the cabin first? |

I picked up the new C3 decals today. They look great! I started with 12 and we can always order more at whatever size we want. I also had a magnet made for my Suburban. Looks great! I've got everything packed except the coolers! Have I mentioned that I'm ready to go?? Once we get the Raleigh crew loaded we'll call Jim Rainey and see how far ahead they are. As for the rain dance, it must have been somebody in or around Suches, no one from C3 would do such a thing! See you all tomorrow. Kristi (Message edited by Ulywife on March 30, 2006) |

I JUST woke up. I can say I'm wore slap out!!! Just want to say a few words..... 3%ers.....What and AWESOME group of people!!!!! I can't begin to thank you all for such an AWESOME weekend. I had the time of my life and the most memorable to date on my Buell. How can you ask for more. We had a few speed bumps but all in all, we rose above. I think we set the bar to unbelievable heights. We didn't hit our numbers from last year, but its all about quality...not quanity. Thanks SOOOO much for the pink hat. That really means a lot. I will wear that Shiot with pride. It just might make an appearance at the "V". The swapped out pink plastics would have been really funny but if you guys had of put pink stickers on my bike, you would of left me no choice but to kick those responsible a$$es. I will keep the Hat clean and crisp for the next Pres to wear......oh yes it will be given to the next in line as a torch to bear so to speak. Clown and all you guys/gals at SMHD/Buell...without your support and effort this couldn't happen. You guys are wonderful. TWO...IF you read this....top notch performance. There is no other place like that on Earth...I'm sure of it. C3......Very nice to meet you guys and thanks for coming out and playing with us. You have an impressive BRAG chapter. Hope to see big things from you guys in the future. So when you gonna invite us over? All my new friends.......GentlemanJon, Twintour....I can't list then all. Very nice to meet you. Twintour....your nothing but hardcore! Bring on the pics!!!!! Lets try to keep them all in the pics sections so we can get a whole compilation. Duc_hrt....thanks for your hard work with the pics and vids. Can't wait to see them. Can you send me a high resolution pic of the group so I can send to FUEL! Glitch.....We will have to photoshop Smokescreen and New12R in. Nice rooming with ya....our headquarters was the bomb. StealthXB....Great to see you back rolling. I sure it puts life back in order. I'm green over the pipe. Odie.....I'll get those vids edited and send to you. Their gonna be great! All I could hear was ...wow, that's bada$$....look at the fighterplane ones....Those guys are pretty cool....man, sure a large group......look at that girls a$$...(woops, did I say that outloud)......how come the demo bikes don't sound like those other ones.....I gotta get me one of those.....etc, etc, etc! March Badness III : A photo essay by 1313 This is a story of our trip to Suches,
In order to take in some
The location was T.W.O., and it is a really cool place. They feel like I do about 4 wheeled forms of transportation
and exactly the way I do about about 2 wheeled transport devices
A couple of cool shots from on the way down there. I'm warning you, this was the first time I trailered, so this was an interesting trip for me. Just outside of Burlington, NC after getting back on the expressway after a bathroom break we spied this interesting (apparently homemade conversion) Flower Car
As we get near our cabin we see a couple of our cabin-mates for the weekend heading our way. As we begin to follow our mapquest directions we notice our cabin-mates had turned around to let us know that the mapquest directions SUCKED! and that we should follow him. After we made it up the Ulysses durability test driveway I was finally able to take a pic of the latest modifications to U4euh's XB9S
After unloading the bikes it's time to head down to T.W.O. to see what shakin' and have some excellent eats. Checking out the bikes outside was freakin' cool. Who says skulls don't go with Buell's?
Silverbullet's sweet X1 Millennium with Firebolt front fairing
Sweet!
Heck there was even a S2 there!
As the light turned to night the S2 took off (as did others)
and there were other interesting sights to see
After a hearty meal (I had steak!) it was back to the cabin to wind down the night with many different types of alcohol while a neighbor a few cabins down would start his XR-1000 in his garage and provide a suitable backdrop for our late night drinkin' and story-tellin' session. Tomorrow - we take some demo rides as March Badness III officially begins! 1313 |

After arriving at T.W.O. fairly early (especially taking into consideration how much alcohol was consumed) and getting signed up for some demo rides it was time to check out some of the bikes in attendance. Black_sunshine's XB9S
Sanchez's bike (used to belong to, and was built by, my buddy Jack)
While getting diverted by the 'droppings' in the T.W.O. grounds
After making it up to the demo rides in time to take out the Street Rod that I signed up for (Don't ask, I hated it. At least my VRSCA is safe in my garage...) it was time to check out the new bikes that had arrived. Another S2!
A cool XB12Ss with vintage Mopar muscle Go Mango paintwork.
Sure was funny seeing so many Sport Touring Buell's since there's 'no market for sport tourers'...
I think this next pic is artsy enough to be hung on a wall. Maybe the image will be on next years event T-shirt...
Here's the wicked purple S2 (with a 'srange cat' for an owner) that showed up as we were out for an afternoon ride.
I first saw this S2 at a bike show in the middle of Winter 1995 back in Milwaukee. I have pictures from the show and even have an old magazine with a feature article on the S2. 1313 |

Even though some bikes showed a questionable sense of style
AMERICAN flag on a GERMAN bike?
There were some stellarly, sweet statements of individual style to be seen
Here's one I made up (only using Paint)

To wrap up my essay, since I got back I've heard people saying they enjoyed riding Nadine. Unfortunately I only was able to get her number
but I like it! Oh yeah, and Spike who is always wanting Red 12R stuff, how's this 'poster' on the side of the demo trailer Red 12S Do ya?
Before loading up a couple of the bikes that had to leave early on Sunday a.m. all the bikes at rest, proving just by gravel alone that our driveway was an official Ulysses durability test driveway - if only you could have seen the topography - and my V-Rod with nearly bald rear tire made it up there with NO problems!
On the way home in South Carolina (why it wasn't in Georgia is beyond me) there was this unique water tower
To close, I will leave you with my favorite bumper sticker of the weekend

Now Dave, since I forgot to take my camera when we went over to check out "Bondo Billy's" XR-1000, what bikes were in his garage? I remember the XR-1000, a RZ 350, a Suzuki 850 GS, a Suzuki 1100 GS, a MotoGuzzi 850 LeMans, a MotoGuzzi 850 LeMans III, some kind of vintage Ducati, a Bultaco, a vintage Kawasaki musclebike 'in process' on a lift, but that's about it. Don't ya hate it when you forget your camera? 1313 |

Here is what I have sized so far from the weekend at Suches: Friday pulling into TWO's:
3% bikes in waiting. Then the C-3 riders showed up:
Then some C-3 riders went up hwy 60 with the 3% crew:
Later that night, Mike W, is trying to tell the others that he had seen Brankin eating onions with his meal:
Kristi told him that he had better not!!!
But it was way too late:
IT WAS ME!!!!!
GentlemanJohn in disbelief! Later on Kristi had it under control:

The next day Mike, Tonya and I headed up to the gap via the Cherahola Skyway(sp?):
Tonya resting some more: It was a hard weekend for, but she did it:
We finally made it to the Dragon. Tonya says 'You drove for 2.5 hours to do this?'
You stupis a$$, that was just outside the front door of the cabin. Later after getting back to TWO's, Mike had to get a sweater, unfortuanatly the only one they had was XXL:
Tried to visit Mike Strong(Twig), but this is all I found. I know the next ones are out of order, but hey it makes for a great story.
Everyone gathered on the porch of the cabin, enjoying the fresh mountain, er,........... wait a minute, Brankin had onions didn't he?! We love ya anyways!! Brankin had bought some of the special drink that Mike W wanted so badly to see, but fell asleep before it could happen.:
Very smooth Brankin, thank you!
The lady's were getting wet, they needed a bath anyway. |
