I’m not much into group rides, they usually turn into either races or parades, neither is my style. But if BadWebers or ATCers are getting together it would be great to meet everyone. I do try to go one day to Weirs. Other suggestions would be a group ride up Mt. Washington, the hillclimb at Gunstock, obviously Loudon, less obvious I think they have a historic race in downtown Laconia, and there are the flat track races in Rochester (I’m close to Rochester). |

"..a group ride up Mt. Washington..." Maybe next week? I heard them mention on the news yesterday that the 70MPH winds up there had the chill factor down to 40 below zero. Jack |

It can be a nasty place! I try to ride up at least once every season. If you've never done it, it is very worth it, but pick your day well!! I also have skied Tuckerman Ravine several times,I didn't make it last spring, but am strongly considering going again this year....

I hope to get over that way for some mindless meandering around this year, I'll probably decide a Mt. Washington visit based on the conditions on that day. Do you ride NH-16 and/or US-302? And is the auto road to the summit a good ride on the right day? Jack |

Do you ride NH-16 and/or US-302? And is the auto road to the summit a good ride on the right day? yes and yes! Though 152 can be a nice alternative to a good portion of 16 (depending on how it survived the winter!) 302 and the Kancamangus hwy are great rides! The auto road has nothing to do with speed but is the most fun you will have a 25 mph.It is visually stunning on a clear day and not for the faint of heart! I know some good roads to take between the seacoast and Laconia too, that is if you prefer 40 mph, twisty, hilly roads to the highway. |

Thanks Scott, I'll have to get over there for sure. We are pretty much the same over here (I'm just west of Bar Harbor) once you get off the coast a little. I find roads regularly that are pure joys to ride in the 25 to 40 MPH range. To play "boy racer" on them is to pretend that there are no such things as animals, potholes, shoulder washouts, gravel in apexes, other vehicles, and simple bad luck. This morning it was dead calm, blue sky, and bright sun. But at 22F. The nicer it looks the colder it gets! Jack |

If it hits 40 here I'm going for a ride! probably a short one though!! Ok, it only got to about 34, but I went anyway! Well, a whole 10 miles that is......Jacket, pants and boots were treating me pretty good. My hands were cold, and the cold air hitting my chin was well.... REALLY COLD!! you're already part of the group dave! welcome! it's a small group but we're spread far and wide! on occasion we're lucky enough to get a half a dozen or less buellers together at sheldons hd in auburn mass. every last friday of the month! hopefully this year we can pull off a few group rides or get togethers. there's a nice fella named ken that has a mailing list you should get on (i'm not on it either), he's been taking care of things while signguy is in iraq. send a message to not red 99 at the beginning of this thread and see if he can put you on the list, i'll do the same, maybe we'll see you this spring! |

Dave is kind of a new guy here. For his info, the Friday night thing being discussed here is the New England Buell Owners meeting at Sheldon's H-D/Buell down in Auburn, MA (south of Worcester). It's the last Friday of every month. It is a 286 mile ride (each way) from my house in Ellsworth it would be about a 300 miler for you Dave. I haven't made a meeting yet because it would be about five hours each way. Jack |

now that i see the beautiful weather we're having today, i might try and fly home and get my sickle, still have some misgivings though - my chain is super loose and i will not have the time to tighten it and i don't want to wave the sprockets, maybe should have kept the belt, doh! i'll see what she looks like when i load the suspension with my fat ass maybe it's not as loose as it looks! |

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and the area. I live in Manchester, NH and was wondering if there are any fellow Buellers in the area. I'm in the Military and won't be back in town until mid Summer, but the weather should be perfect then. (Message edited by cgocifer on April 02, 2006) |

Cgocifer- There are a few of around and about (most seem to be military or former military). When you get back check this section to see whats up or just shoot an email to us to get something going. We have all been trying to meet up at Sheldons HD to meet greet and ride. Firebolteric MA- Looking forward to seeing you there next time. Seems the past 2 times its been Tripp, XB12ri, and myself. But hopefully with the warm weather on the way, everyone will crawl out of their caves and onto the bikes. I've only got one email so don't feel left out about not hearing anything. |

For the rest of you, Riding into Mass isn't something I do unless I have too, Especially on a Friday night. But when/if you are considering a ride to the north let me know. There is a little breakfast restaurant at the Hampton Airfield (nice little grass strip) that strikes me as a good place to meet and eat. Anybody else been there? I have kids every other weekend, but I am free to ride on the others..... |

Firebolteric Ma- I don't usually get there until 7pm. As for how many "usually" show up, I don't know only went 2 times and the turn out was weak. Scott in NH- Totally understandable why don't attend the last Friday thing. I'll have to PM you once the riding season is in full swing and check out that air strip. I'm sure you have some nice riding spots up there. |

I went to one last year before Mike shipped out and we had about 6 Bikes. We also had a couple of last minute rides where about 4-5 of us got together. |
