I once saw a full S2 carbon fiber body kit for sale on ebay. It was a couple of years ago just after I bought my S2. Sadly I didn't have the dough to buy it and could only drool. Does anyone know where this CF body could have came from? It had factory looking decals on the tank and fairing. Was this a rare Buell item? Does anyone make a complete CF S2 body? |

Look Here. I believe Airtech will make any of their stuff in carbon if you ask nicely. -Saro |

I sold a carbon fiber body set on e-bay. It was not made by the factory.

Court- If I'm not mistaken, the AirTech tail section had the license plate bracket built into the mold. Unless that set had been trimmed, I'm assuming it's not an AirTech set. Is that correct? -Saro |

That is not quite the most hideous carbon fiber layup work I've seen. Those cloth seams are unbelievably bad. But kinda cool to see a whole S2 body in CF. |

It was not meant to be a "good commercial" carbon fiber body set. It was used for a catalog photo and as a "proof of concept". It was also about 1/4" thick and the fit was marginal. But, it did look awesome on the bike. I have the catalogs it appeared in buried here somewhere. I'd have kept it but I have way too many "factory experimental" S-2 bodies sets around here now. The bike is currently dressed in the Amazon Green from a little test we made when we painted it and set the bait in the middle of the annual BMW get-together in South Carolina to see what happened. Fun stuff and it was a ball to watch folks reaction. |

I heard a rumor about the lap of America bodywork getting a facelift. Is another lap in order? |

I know who has it and would probably sell it. I am currently not speaking to him but someone may be able to get a message through. I have his phone number for serious inquiry only. |
