Would it be possible to put new lightning instrument panel and headlights on a 2001 m2? |

Anything is possible. I've seen the lights on tubers, you have to modify the (headlight) bracket so things line up, you'll have more trouble with the wiring. Maybe others have checked out if the harnesses will match up... -Mike |

I think the gearing of an XB and your M2 would be different enough so that the speedo wouldn't be accurate. You could add one of those speedo calibrator thingies to it though. |

M2, I've been thinking of doing that. I put a Firebolt fairing on my M2 and have been considering trying to wire up an XB instrument cluster. If I decide to give it a try I'll let you know how it goes.... If anyone else has done it...I'd love to hear how it went. |

headlights (S) are pretty simple, you will have to make a braket, I'll see if I can get a pic of mine up tomorrow, you'll have to make up a wire set as the headlights have a female pigtail as does the harness. Many others have done something similar, using different means. The instrument cluster, I don't know but with a wiring diagram and a bit of patience most anything is possible |

I am also in the process of getting a gauge cluster and attempting the swap. The biggest problem is going to be finding the plug and chunk of wire from the Xb harness to cross with the tuber harness. Question: is the speedo sensor the same for a tube frame and XB? doesn't that sensor read the speed of the main gear? |
