so can i remove that ugly round plastic can on the left side of my bike?its an 06 xb12.can i just plug the vaccuum fittings on throttle body and tank? |

I wouldn't throw it away if I was you. Smog inspections on bikes are the next "logical" step in the progression the EPA and CARB have been following. Just wait the "pollution credits" for crushing older bikes will come around soon too. |

Torch I removed mine. Its not hard at all and it does not affect anything. But don't plug the thank thats how it breaths, and if you over fill the tank thats where the over flows goes. Just run the rubber hose from the tank down the side of the frame down buy the foot peg or down buy the swing arm. If you look at the bikes back east they don't have one. Its there to catch the fuel fumes, its suppose to recycle the fumes back to the fuel injection, to re-burn in the combustion chamber. But what ever you do don't get sell it or loose it, you might need it at a later date if the bike needs an inspection or smog inspection at a later date. IMO |
