The dealer delivered my bike to my house yesterday, while I was at work, as promised, after repairing the broken belt, TPS reset, & oil change. I noticed as I walked up to the bike that the kickstand wasn't holding the bike anywhere vertical. I put the bike up on a wheel stand and the kickstand was flopping around like crazy. Apparently the driver decided to use my bike as a test bed for a kickstand stress test. I think he rachet straped the bike down with the kickstand down!!!!! The pivot bolt had snapped and the "U" shaped pivot part of the kickstand was opened up an extra 1/4". He also did a test on my battery. He locked the steering but turned the key all the way & turned on the parking lights. This energized the acc. port which also turned on the heated grips. I don't even know why the grips were even switched on. I am ALWAYS careful to turn them off when shuting down the bike. The battery would not even crank over the bike. Great job at the service dept., but I will haul my own bike from now on. |

The attempt at door to door service is admirable, but it sounds like the execution could have been a lot better. |

Man! That sucks. They give you great service that is ruined by one bad apple. That's another reason I do my own work when possible. I just don't want to gamble on when a mistake will manifest itself. |

It's odd that the mounting bolts that go into the case were not the ones to fail. Past posts mention problems with these breaking and causing the bike to fall. I guess I can quit worrying about them breaking. I've been keeping an eye on mine peirodically to make sure they stay tight. The dealer installed a new kickstand, bolt, spring & "S" shaped thingee. They had to remove it from a Uly that was in stock. They are trying to keep me happy. I really did a good job at keeping my cool. I don't like other people working on my bike, but warranty issues are the exception. I may also look into doing my own tps resets also. |

The bolt on my kick stand has backed out twice. The second time I put thread locker and it hasn't happened again...yet. |
