You mean one of these? Since I didn't do the original bike build or turbo install, most of my answers will be, let's say "creatively innacurate and unreliable, though plausibly stated" FMJ or Peter for real usable info, would be my recommendation, though I can say that the bike goes like "stink" when the turbo is spooling up! Good Question - It's an old term - etymology uncertain, but can be construed as REAL F#&*ing FAST! I first heard it used by dirt bike riders back in the early 70's. I usually tell people that ask how fast my bike is with the turbo, that it's "almost A THIRD as fast as most Japanese 600cc sportbikes!" Spidey - I may be able to help with your questions, as long as they aren't too technical. There are rumblings that the units may become available again. AL |

Ryker77, It's from Braking, and was on the bike when I bought it from Hein. Now they use a 5 spoke version. |

Nice to know the USPS can do something right once in a while.Keep us posted and lets see pics.Who is doing the repair,Steve Packer? And for the rest of you lot,I will be getting rid of my Aerocharger set-up later this year if you are interested. Looking to go bigger, maybe a Garrett GT ball bearing series. Will require complete rework of my system so all Aerocharger stuff will go. |

Tempting, but my compression ratio is already 10.5:1 and I've got a killer exhaust system. I'm considering nitrous next. |

Fuel system is easy.Any good electric pump rated at 16-20 psi(It needs to be able to pump at least 3 psi higher than the boost you will see,I have seen 12-15.) will do and several manufacturers make boost referenced fuel pressure regulators.I have a Mallory.Need one with a bypass to route excess pressure back to the tank. Yep,Steve is the Turbo Doc. |

The Turbo Doc can do all work on them and he has another line of same style turbos. When Aerocharger went under he was already working on a replacement. |

yeah well I got a D&D in the mail yesturday.. lol.. I am curious. I ride w/ Spidy most of the time, and will the turbo make his bike quieter, or will it stay the same? right now it is pritty darn loud. hence the D&D. lol |

Turbos done to the same original drawings as Aerodyne's Aerochargers are made in Kansas City for snowmobiles. If you put them on your motorcycle, it's not their recommendation (liability). These turbos are available through snowmobile shops, for example Turbo Doc. |

Turbo will make it quieter--turbo absorbs sound energy. My Buell and my son's Yamaha both run dump pipes--no muffler--and both are quieter than a similar bike with a race can. |

It did on mine--as we dynoed the bike Brian kept cutting shorter until we had peak. It's about 18" long or better. Can measure when it gets home. |
