I have an 03 XB9S and want to change the seat.. I really like the 06 stock seats. However I have been looking at the Corbin seat and the buell select seat.. I found the Select Seat on Ebay from a Harley dealer for 170.. If any of the sponsors will match that I would be highly interested... I want to see if anyone has these seats for comparison..Thanks |

If you really like the 06 stock seats, the Select is just as "cush" and even nicer... I like the styling. Not that I have one, but the consensus is that the corbin is wider, and a FIRM. Something that you need to break in. Its comfort comes with time and is more about the shape and fit. The Select is gel cushy.. |

I have the Corbin. It is by far the best seat I have ever had. Yes it does take 1000 miles or so to breakin. I can do 600 mile days in complete comfort. If you order directly from Corbin, they will customize it too your specs...Wider, narrower, taller, different leather patterns, etc...the best part is that all the custom options are FREE. |

Ran a Corbin seat on my Suzuki TL 1000 S and it was the best improvment I made to that bike. Great quality seat! |

I am not impressed with the few selects I have seen up close. The quality just isn't there like it is with the corbin. The leather under ones butt seems to loosen and then the nasty look of wrinkles sets in, not impressed at all. When you pay as much as you do for these seats they should look and feel like new for many years. My roommate and a good friend both have them, one has maybe 10hrs of ride time on it and the other has 2hrs of ride time and they both have this problem. I think someone posted up a pic of theirs and how bad it had wrinkled here a month or so ago. The select just has not impressed me at all. I am glad I bought the Corbin, it has 10k on it and still looks new, and 800 comfortable mile days (once you butt is in riding shape) is no problem. |

Here is a pic of the select seat on my bike. It is a great seat. After an hour of riding you don't notice your but hurting like you do with the factory. It looks kick ass too. The peg logo is embroidered on both sides.

Ordered a Select today, Black. Thinking about riding it up to Barber from Mouse-town. If I do, I'll give a detailed report on return. My stock seat was hurting a lot just riding 60 miles to Daytona and back or 100 miles to St. Pete and decided to save the $60 or so on the Corbin. Corbin has a retail store in Daytona but still want to charge shipping from CA., that didn't seem right. |

Do the colors on the Select seats match the bike's colors very well? Like the red posted above. I have a black XB12S with the gold wheels and was sondering how the orange Select seat would look on the bike. It doesn't really look from the pictures of it that they will match very well. |

I have a CityX and I picked up an XB12S seat and in my opinion it is better than the Skyline. I rode to Daytona with the Skyline and it gave me the worst case of monkeybutt I ever had. I put the 12S seat on and rode to Daytona and I felt no pain. OK, this post had nothing to do with the Select seat except that I was going to order it until I picked up the 12S seat and now I'm satisfied. Ken |

After cancelling the Corbin, I called Daves @ Appleton, and because I needed it ASAP, he found one in stock at HD in Fla. Thanks to Dean at HD of Port Charlotte got it in two days with $8.00 UPS ground shipping. It looks good and so far I think it will work just fine, I shall see, no seat time yet as my wife is working and my 2 1/2 year old can't reach the passenger pegs, YET. Whoops... that's another story, whether and when she will be allowed to ride with me. Probably my wife will OK it, but the in-laws may be a VETO until later in the scheme of things. |
