If so how do they perform compared to the stock Dunlops'? I was ready to pull the trigger on a set of Pirelli Diablos', but I really like the tread pattern of the Metzelers'. |

I have a set of the Metzeler M1's.(Sportec) 3 years old now, a couple of track days(I would not recommend them for track use) Lots of road miles, I recommend them for this! The XB (9R) feels better on the road with them, good in the rain. They are heavier which slow the handling a little, but in a good way. And a couple of burnouts Overall I would buy them again. |

Thanks guys. I appreciate The input. I have made several posts about tires because I guess I need as much info as is available. It has been difficult for me to come to terms with just how much difference a tire makes to the bike. I thought that once you bought a sportbike tire, no matter which brand, you were getting basically the same thing as long as the specifications were identical to stock. Maybe not. |
