Just saw this on McWillaims web site http://www.jeremymcwilliams.com/diary.php This would be very cool! <Erik and I have talked a little after the race and I'm thinking about maybe coming back for a sprint race as it would be a better way to get the hammer down from the begining and with a little more testing who knows how we'll get on.> |

It would definitely be nice to see Jeremy on the XBRR again. (Message edited by diablobrian on March 16, 2006) |

Sprint race, such as Barber? That would be cool. I think Barber would suit McWilliams skills better than Daytona. Jim |

I'm pulling for Road America. Wouldn't it be sweet to see McWilliams race during homecoming? Where else would there be a better turn out of Buell fans? Maybe he could even be convinced to come talk to us as part of the festivities in East Troy. I could see a "meet the race team" kind of thing. That would flat out rock. Just some thoughts. |

Seeing that Homecoming would be infront of the most Buell fans,I'll have to say that'll be it. We'll he come down to the Hospitality BRAG tent??? You guy's can almost bet on it. Hope that it happens/makes the most sense though. Come to homecoming everyone.... its the Buell showing of them all. |

What are the plans of the other teams? Dealy's and Hal's? Full season? Anyone know? |

Sent them all an e-mail both thanking them for their participation and asking if they had future plans. My guess is that Hal's will be running FX for sure, Deeley's would be a probably and Warr's a one race or two thing. Just my best guess. If I hear more I'll be sure to spread the word if they don't tell me to keep it under my hat. |

I just wish someone would clarify the picture, based on something besides wishes and dreams. (I count myself in the wishes and dreams camp) If they are going to be at Barber things should already be in motion to make it happen. Anybody? Anybody? Bueller? |

Hal's will be there. They have much invested not to be. |

I'd heard a rumor that the Hal's teams' funding was a little thin for this season. Someone please debunk this with factual information! |

Little thin??? They have 2 XBRR'S though. Is that thin?? |

Just owning the gear doesn't mean you have the funds to campaign it. It's more expensive to run a team than most people think. |

Kirk wouldn't buy 2 so he can sit and look at them. Kinda helps for them to be a stone throw from me. |

I didn't figure he would, I just had heard that things were thin and I was looking for confirmation that they were going to be ready to carry-on. Since Daytona news about plans for the season has been non-existant. I'd like to know if there will be 1, 2 or even no Buell teams at Barber. They aren't leaving the Buell fans a lot of time to plan whether to attend or not. You see what I'm saying? |

I can see where your coming from on that. Another thing I'm wondering is if one those bike may be Bilansky's or will the other be a back up bike. |

Wish Terry would chime in like he does from time to time and fill us in. |

Yeah I wondered about that too. Wil it be Cicotto's a&b bikes, or will they use the r models for the b bikes. Both ways of doing it have valid points in favor and against. I figure we're probably (make that hopfully)less than 24hrs from either Terry answering, or an annonymous answer. |

On a related note, anyone know if/when Rich Conrath will back in the game this season? |

I stopped in on Wednesday to talk with Terry. But he took the day off. Hals race team budget has always been "thin". They also didn't purchase 2 XBRRs. One was donated to them from BMC. The 4 teams at Daytona all had the bikes donated to them. I'm not even sure if they had purchased the 2nd one. Talking with Kirk after the brag meeting last week, he was very enthusiastic of this years season. So it's looking good on that part. I'm gonna stop in at Hals tomorrow and talk with terry about some other stuff(another one of our Brag members may be doing an 88" kit on his '02 S3T). I'll ask him what's gonna go on the rest of the season. I'll try and stop in there more often, and relay the info that I get in the Brew City Brag portion of the storm fronts. Living 10 minutes from them, and being their Brag director SHOULD gimme some perks |

Steve, Actually what you were told is not true. The bikes at Daytona were paid for by the sponsorships that were on the bikes, not by Buell. So, the bikes were definitely not donations from Buell! They came from the money from Pirelli, Sentry Insurance, US Bank,Syn3 Oil, and H-D Financial Services. So, all you Badweb race fans, don't forget who the sponsors were, and consider their products!!! Daytona is a huge event with sponsors, and attendance there is worth a lot. To give you an idea of the marketing value of Daytona, one dealer team we know of that weren't able to get a bike in time for Daytona lost a major sponsorship, even though they will be able to make the other nine events. But the Daytona sponsors of the four teams expect to see the bikes at more races, I can tell you that!!! Personally, I was blown away when the Hal's team at Daytona put on stickers for low cost free products that were as big as the stickers for the sponsors that paid for the bike! Perhaps they did that because they were not aware of the situation. Kirk was not there. |
