I'm removing the handguards from my 9SX and am having trouble getting the top "post" removed. The lower one is in the shape of a 12mm hex, but the top one is round. Also, it appears that it may be part of the nut that secures the brake/clutch levers at their pivots. Do I need to buy this bolt assembly for an XB that does not have handguards? Or is there some way to remove this upper post? |

I believe the upper round post is the bolt. You need to remove the whole assembly and replace with a regular XB bolt. |

I cut the top portion off with a dremel tool on mine. |

Altima - I'm willing to sell them, but from these messages, it looks like you'll be responsible for getting mounting hardware. PM me & we'll discuss price. Joe |
