is it possible to put frame sliders on a 2001 blast. just bought one for my gf to learn on and i dont want any damage when she drops it. |

I'm sure that you can figure out something, but there's nothing out there on the market made secifically for the Blast. the Gas Tank and the tank cover protect the main frame real well... I wouldn't worry about damage there, and a tank cover and spare tank can be had cheap off ebay. The stock footpeg brackets protect the engine well, and you can pick those up cheap too. The only other metal area that is easily damaged is where the tail-section and the frame meet up. I'd probably get some double sided tape and stick a piece of UHMW Nylon on that area if you're worried about it. You couls also use a piece of all thread and a few skateboard wheels to make a rear axle slider. |

Blast saddlebags work well to save the bike from damage. However its seems that the rear frame will get tweaked no matter what you do! |
