Hey Guys, I have been lurking for quite sometime and decided to register tonight. I am interested in a Buell XB12SS and was hoping to be pointed in the direction of a good Buell dealer in Ohio. Just to give you some back ground I have owned several motorcycles and most have been sport bikes. I purchased a cruiser last year, found that style of bike was not for me and sold it. My last sport bike was a Honda Superhawk and I really enjoyed the v twin engine. I think that is one of the reasons I am drawn to the Buell. I love the way the bike looks. It seems to me it's the kind of bike that when you park it you catch yourself looking back at it. I also like the fact that the bike is unique. I would be lying if I said I was not worried about reliability. I have read enough that I know that the XB line has proven to be very reliable but it is still in the back of my mind. I am sorry for going on and on. I am very excited about this bike. Although I have looked at most of the other naked bikes I keep coming back to the Buell. Thanks in advance for the dealer info and I look forward to hanging out around here. Sprout |

Call Dave at Appleton HD. He's not that far from you.... Best guy to deal with and worth the trip! Look him up on the sponsor pages. |

Wow, some central ohio buellers, haven't seen too many flying around. Zach at AD is a good guy, even has a smiley face in his driveway!! Parts counter is out of sorts but they seem to be getting better...You could try Centennial out in Pataskala, friend bought a Roadbobglide something or other and they worked with him on price. Zach has the very same bike your looking for...if that helps... |

I don't think Centennial is selling Buells anymore. AD Farrow is the only central Ohio Buell dealer. I didn't buy my bike from them, but their service is respectable. |

Sprout: I would recommend AD Farrow in Columbus. I bought my Lightning there last year. Zach is the guy you want to talk to. As far as reliability-I'm showing nearly 6000 miles on the speedo-not even a hint of a problem. It is my understanding that Centennial Park in Pataskala is not selling Buells anymore. Welcome to the BadWeb |

Thanks Guys I am right in between Columbus and Toledo so I will check them both out. I went to a HD dealer and Mansfield and could not get any one to talk to me so I left. I thought about Daves because my in laws live near Madison. I was thinking the next time we went up to see them I would drive on up to Appleton. But that would not be until late summer. Thanks Again |

Centennial dropped buells for about two months, realized that they lost more money than just not selling a few bikes and picked them back up again...Not sure if that is the way they are going to continue business tho....Rage, sounds good, I'll look you up when I'm up that way... |

I bought mine from Zach at AD Farrows but recommend Gover HD for service. One of the service guys there had the same bike as mine (a cityX) and was very knowledgeable. I live in Marysville so Piqua is almost as close as downtown Columbus. Go buy a Buell, you won't be disappointed. |

I had a GREAT experience at Mid-Ohio H-D. I believe that Buzz was the guy I dealed with. Long story short. I got a call from my buddy that his S3-T died in Ohio, near Springfield. I drive from WI to pick him up. Buzz feed my guy and let him stay in the shop well past closing. I get there and Buzz helps load the bike into the van and gets use some soda for the trip back. We ask were can we get some food at that time of night, (it was past 11:00 pm), that would take a out of state check. He pulls out his walet and gives use a $50 and says to just send him a check when we get home. Going above and beyond. (Message edited by Doughnut on March 15, 2006) |

Not tried Piqua, not heard anything bad about them. I have had good luck with F&S Buell in Dayton, only half an hour past Piqua. Jeff (their Buell mechanic) rides a nice yellow S1, and Bill (sales guy) rides (and occasionally wrecks ) a nice XB12R. Eastgate Buell in Cincinnati did good work on my bike, and sponsored a battletrax, and seem like good folk. I had problems getting them to schedule recall work (made me wait two months, which seems inappropriate for a safety recall issue) and would not come clean about ordering parts when they claimed they did, but that was a long time ago and an isolated experience. Tri-County Buell in Cincinnati is (mercifully) out of the Buell business and back to bending rotors and selling leather and chrome. (Message edited by reepicheep on March 15, 2006) |

Reep: You had me rollin' about Bill wrecking the XB12R, he rides 'em hard. Bill was gone to California for a while, but he's back now. He makes F&S much better. The HD sales guys told me they hadn't received Buell hats yet. Then Bill came around the corner and said "Are you here for the hat?" They ought to keep him around, it's his enthusiasm, demo ride setups, and Battletrax that keep me going back there. Mark |

I knew he was gone, and was glad to see him back. I have to get over there and pick up a muffler clamp I had them order... What part of Dayton are you in? I live in Lebanon, but work in the big building on the corner of 675 and 75... |

I live in Germantown, I'm about 8 miles from the building you work in. I ride toward Lebanon a lot, I get on Route 123 and ride through Carlisle, Franklin, and on to Lebanon. Mark |
