I'm crossing my fingers that whatever magic McWilliams crew found for qualifying will filter down to the other Buell teams. It would be fantastic to see all of them in the 1:42-1:43 range in saturday morning practice. |

Anyone know what times the Jap bikes are running on race tires today? As opposed to their qualifying tires yesterday. |

What about the tire status of yesterday? Were the Buells running Q's or race? The other bikes? |

Cicotto was running faster in practice than he did in qualifying. I expect him to be running faster tomorrow too. |

Well. the guessing will all be over in about 15 hours, lets all hope we (the Buell teams have good pit crews) it can make or break a good running bike. GO BUELL GO ! ! ! V for Victory. |

I have a feeling things will be on more of an equal footing when everyone is on race tires. The Buell times stayed pretty consistent during qualifying which makes me think they were not using a qualifying tire. If you knock off at least a second, possibly more for a Q tire, Duhamel and Disalvo are not that much quicker. GO BUELL!! |

I got to thinking. I know it is a bad habit. What will the rest of the season look like without Duhamel, Disalvo and Zemke look like? Pull those three one race riders out of the long term equation. |

A series without a lot of cache for the rest of the sportbike world and perhaps the last one . . . |

Pit crew screwed it up again ! Same thing happened the only time a VR was in contention, how about a little more practice with those front tires ! Shit! |

Been watching Harleys road race at Daytona since Lucifers Hammer back in the early eighties. Man, it seems something always goes wrong. It is an almost impossible task to race an air cooled pushrod motor against what amounts to small formula 1 engines. My hopes dashed again ! |

Your hopes dashed again? jeez, why so negative after only the 1st race? |
