Don't know if this is the proper place to post or not. However I am new the owner of a brand XB12X as of 1 p.m. today. Just rode it home and have all of 65 miles on it. I have been reading here for quite some time figured I might as well register now that I have a Buell of my own. Short background is, my first Harley was a 1968 Sportster and 7 big twins since (yes I am old). Sold my 2002 FLHTCUI last week to move to a smaller-lighter bike. I hope I like it. Will definitely have to get used to having my knees in the breeze again it was blowing 35 mph head on coming home and I am not used to the helmet induced caused neck strain yet. John 88030 |

Welcome. I swapped my GeezerGlide for a Uly in Jan. Could not be happier. Nothing like 30% more power and half the weight to spice things up. Feel like a little kid w/ a new toy. Made me remember why I liked motorcycles in the first place. fubar |

Welcome John! I'm sure you will enjoy the ride once you get used to it. These bikes really rock! Just keep an eye on the kickstand bolts and take it in if they get loose. They tend to snap the heads off...Mine just did that... Other than that just set up the suspension per the manual and enjoy! BC Steve |

Hi John! Congrats on the new bike. My side stand hasn't broken off yet, but the motor shot part of a connecting rod through my lower abdomen the other day. The docs had to remove several feet of my small intestine. Good luck with yours though. BTW, I'm using a fair amount of sarcasm in making fun of Steve's kickstand warning. |

Welcome John. I see that you bought one of the slower black variety. We won't hold that against you, however. |

Hi John, Welcome to the madness! Do not take any notice of the orange group, they have a real problem with understanding the concept of CLASS. Congrats on your new CLASSY BLACK ULY! Have heaps of fun, and take care, be safe and stay upright. |

Welcome to the board John, great move getting your hands on one of the black ones, I hear they're selling like hot cakes! By the way, don't pay any attention to that Dragon Slayer guy....he lives in Ohio. You know what they say about those people! Hey Lowflyer, did you get yelled at or are you just on some kind of "disclaimer kick"? |

I'll be riding a black Uly this year. I'll take that bet Mike! Not at BattleTrax though. Pretty sure you would kick my butt at BTX. How about BlackHawk Farms? |

Hey Lowflyer, did you get yelled at or are you just on some kind of "disclaimer kick"? Naw, I think I have been inflicted with sort of mild case of MFDFUM. (Message edited by lowflyer on March 08, 2006) |

Well, now it makes perfect sense! I have the same problem......I was getting a little carried away not too long ago at work and had to tone it down a bit. It's been a struggle! Does the squeaky wheel gets the grease or the ax?

Why? Are the wheels on that black Uly squeaking already? Snub! You have not been following the postings of Lowflyer lately. He is getting yelled at BIG TIME! Sooo misunderstood. |
