Haven't HEARD anything about Hals hosting anything at all, till I saw Lake's post on Brew City. I talked with Kirk late last year, and hinted that Hals would maybe want to host homecoming. Considering how pathetic the Buell "presence" was at West Bend HD for the '05 Homecoming. When I emailed Mary & Peggy at B.R.A.G. about the lack of info on the '06 homecoming events, she emailed back a couple of weeks later, saying they were talking with a dealer about some activities. I just figured it was Appleton. I've not seen the latest Fuel, so I don't know what's going on. And neither Kirk nor Caralee have mentioned anything about it. Our meeting is Thursday. I'll talk with Kirk then to see what's going on. I might be able to stop in there earlier, but I'm not sure if my workload will allow it as of right now. Here is what I got in response to my email concerning homecoming '06 "I am glad you joined last years BRAG Homecoming and am hopeful you will be attending this year's event. We have changed the format for this year's event. There is no longer a registration nor a fee. The Buell plant in east troy will be open for tours and we will be holding seminars for BRAG members. In regards to working with a dealership, we are currently working with one and when the plans are finalized we will be able to print the final agenda in Fuell. Until something is final we are reluctant to print the information. Thank you for your comments and please continue to watch Fuell for updates. Regards, Marie"

Guess they learned their lesson with the 20th and figured plans were too far ahead for something good to not stick their finger in the pie this time. Court, Email me. |

If the BRAG folks are willing to put more into the event, we should only applaude such efforts. Yes? |

I can't begin to explain how f'in p-o'd I am right now!!!! Beside the fact that Blake won't let us swear(F@#$ A@#-hole sorry Blake), we've spent the better part of 2 months working on something because they won't tell us that they have done something. Dave goes to his boss to ask for a party to thank all his Buell friends. We have people booking hotel rooms in another town. There's a dinner in the works for Saturday. Etc, etc, etc. Then they decide to half-azzed announce a dealer party at Hal's!!!! I'm thinking I'm done with BRAG for good! I didn't renew yet for this year and I'll definately NOT renew in the future. Screw 'em!!!! Holy cow...I've got to lay off the drugs!! They've got me a steroids for my herniated disc. Serious "roid rage" going down here....time to bug out and chill for awhile. |

I for one, wouldn't mind Hals hosting something. For completely selfish reasons of course Sorry Dennis, didn't mean to pee in your weaties. I posted this before your rant above. Did anyone try and contact Brag before all the effort went in to planning this event? (Message edited by Steve_mackay on March 06, 2006) |

Yes and nothing was said. But it doesn't matter. All that will mean is the event will be quite broken up. This wouldn't have happened if things were brought to the table. (Message edited by bads1 on March 06, 2006) |

I want to support Hal's and hopefully if something is planned with them it won't coincide with anything already planned by Appleton, Daves and the others. But if it does then I'm still going to Appleton and the events already planned, especially since I support Badwebbers a bit more !! CJ |

The event from the beginning starts on a Friday at the factory. After that Friday night is dinner/cook out at Daves dealership.Saturday,Elkhart/races/tour of Revolution Performance, with Brian Nallin.Saturday night another dinner not finalized just yet but in the works. Sunday Elkhart Lake/races. I don't know where Hals fits in with that without having possibly alot of people separated. Dennis don't be pissed this will work out just fine. |

Best for all would be if we could all try to work together to make the event the best it can possibly be, for everyone. I'm sure the folks at BRAG will welcome all positive cooperation, as should we, no? If there is a break in the communications chain, it's as much our fault as anyones. Suggest sending the BRAG folks the current event schedule and requesting that they work the Hal's event into it. Win, win, win? I sure think so. What y'all have done is wonderful and a lot of us REALLY appreciate all the effort and planning. So please let's do our best to keep things positive for everyone involved, especially all us folks thinking about attending. Please? |

Accommodations are at the top of this thread. Steps were taken so that everyone would be together at one place which Brag has not done. That is ok. As far as Hal's doing a party??? It would probably be best if they did a morning breakfast type thing then gather everyone up and parade in to East Troy for the tour. Maybe get the East Troy police Escort again like we did for the 20th. Everyone needs to calm down. I'll be speaking to Peggy today even if I have to call her on her cell phone. Which I have BTW. Everyone needs to read the top of this thread for your prices and accommodations. Relax deep breathing.... Dennis worry about the back. We need ya man. Dave I'll get on Peggy soon. Bomber it stopped snowing now. Blake your welcome. Now where did I put Brian Nallins number I have to call him to,sheeesh!!! |

Now we all understand that Peggy is no longer with B.R.A.G., right? I *think* (eager to be corrected) that she has assumed new responsibilities. Marie will be handling the B.R.A.G. involvement and The Elves will be doing the portion at the factory. I'm snowed under with preparing to head for Daytona at present, but hope to be in East Troy soon after Daytona and one of the topics of discussion will be reconciling Homecoming activities. The bright part of this is that, may of you recall, it wasn't long ago we thought there was going to be NO Homecoming this year. . . now it appears there is going to be TOO MUCH Homecoming! See ya in Daytona! |

Court Its been that way for some time now. I spoke to Marie and introduced myself weeks ago but at that time she was helping with Brag at the time when I asked. Maybe that has changed. |

Lake -- ;-} all else -- I'd suggest that everyone just go ahead and make yer plans based on the data presently available -- as new info pops up, plkans can change, yes? we're motorsicklists, for goodnesssakes -- you know, those guys that think, "hey, I've never been down THAT road before, I wonder what's there?" Court -- your assumptions are correct (I've always wanted to say that! Course, I've also always wanted to say "Make it so, Number One!" ) |

Good gravy.....I don't check on this post for awhile and all hell breaks loose! Well, not really. No mater what happens or where, it's going to be a great time! You guys have worked your buts off on this and anything that BRAG does will just be icing on the cake (right?). Anyway, I made reservations at the "host hotel" a while age and I can't wait! Worse comes to worse, we spend the day on great bike rides and then drink beer at night, now that's win win!

Trick at this point is simply getting the cake and the icing arranged in proper vertical alignment.....folks here have worked hard, done a marvy job and I suspect we'll have the best time ever. Just got off the phone signing up an Aussie to ride to Wisconsin with Chauly (I call him Chuck) and I. Note to self: Remember to tell Chuck he's riding half-way cross the country again. I'm an excellent rider, Chuck's an excellent navigator. We've been doing this for something like 11 or 12 years and I still have him in training!
