I ride my bike everyday to work and every other possible excuse I can come up with to my wife. Well yesterday the weather down here in MS was perfect for riding. I was definetly gonna ride it in as usual when I got that feeling maybe I should take her. Thank god I listened and didnt ride. As I as coming to work a car pulls out in front of my truck into the passing center lane. I was going about 45 when this guys pulls right into the back left tire at about 15 his speed. I was pissed because the first thing in my mind was what if i was on the bike? This knucklehead wasnt paying attention, and what if he would of hit my bike I would of probaly went head on into on coming traffic. Well we were both ok, but a little minor damage to the truck as I can tell thus far. I call my insurance ageny because its the other guys fault. And now they are trying to get me to go to one of they're "preferred" (as the call it) body shops. We will see how this one pans out. I got a question If I get an detailed estimate and the insurance adjuster undercuts it. What is my possible recourse to ensure the proper amount of money is paid to repair my truck. Does anyone know if this state is like some of the others wher they take the lesser of 3 estimates? Thanks (Message edited by sgthigg on March 03, 2006) |

I'm glad you're both okay. But did you ever think that the reason you got hit today was because you weren't on your bike? |
