i've checked out the OPS modified muffler...shortened/made louder, looks good, cheapo alternative to an aftermarket, BUT...
does the bike need to be tuned once it's on? I would think so...i know enough of you guys have them...

Danny...no tune just ride at a steady speed around 4500 rpms for about 10 mins. The ECM will "learn" the exhaust. I highly recommend the Race ECM if you don't already have it as will as a K&N filter. Running Stock ECM with this set-up will have adverse effects on the motor. No need for a TPS reset.

Hey B_S,
Running stock ECM with the spec ops pipe with the stock filter ok? Or is it just when you add the K&N to the setup?

B_S,
As I understand it, Odie monitored a stock filer/ECM setup over a period of time with the Special OPS 12 pipe. They pulled the plugs regularly and saw no indication on the engine running lean. Please let me know if I misunderstood this since I'm running that setup. Thanks

You will be fine with just the pipe. If yo u do airbox mods I would go with the race ecm.

Yes.....what Drift says. The open air box and high flow filer would need the Race ECM

my mistake, Hogs....Brain fart.
