The new digs. If y'all were wondering what I've been up to, I bought this. TWO car garage, finished bonus room above. 8X10 tool shed out back. EXTRA nice inside. We'll have a "Glitch got a new house" party in a couple of weeks. Things just keep getting better! |

Nice place Glitch. Us mountain people just dig out a hole in the bank big enough to back our camper into. But I did ride to work today and I will get to make the loop this evening. |

S_B: Your gonna need to drill your holes. They are marked on the inside with a small dimple and maybe some minor trimming. I tried to match the trim lines of the stock piece as best as I could. |

Has anyone changed from a single headlight to a dual headlight and know what it entails? |

I just got the final word that we will be sponsoring a track day at Barber on July 8-9. The Buell demo truck will also be there for demo's on the track. The cost will be about $235 a day and that includes lunch and photography. I will have flyers soon to hand out at the IMS show and March Badness. Let me know if some of you guys and gals are interested. |

Once I have more details about safety features required on the track, i will post them. There will be 105 spots available. |

Clown....I'd be in if the safety requirements are somewhat lax. Just wouldn't want to spend a whole lot of time stripping off parts and wiring every nut and bolt. Sounds like a lot of fun |

Clown, You know I'm in. Will we be allowed to get a few hot laps in as well on our own bikes? Speaking of bikes I've been having a problem shifting into 3rd gear. If I shift slow its 'rally hard to get into 3rd' If I speed shift its smooth. I even let N12R take it for a test ride. I'll be bringing it by the shop soon. I been to the mountains once and got about 400 miles since the new clutch work has been done. It just started doing this about the last few times I rode it. It hasn't been on the track. 'FYI' I even spent some money with the service dept. to show that we Buellers don't just bring our bikes in only for warranty work even though most of us like to turn the wrenches on our own bikes. Thanks for the good work.... |

I have already told Clown I am IN! Soooo I went to the local Suzuki shop to ask a few questions on the DRZ-400sm, This was my response........ A bunch of us have rode it, it will only go 90mph though so its not much fun. REJECT! |

dont you know that the only way that you can have fun on a motorcycle is if you are going at warp speeds? duh! |

The track day is mainly for your own bikes. The Demo truck will just be added bonus. I am working on getting discount tickets for the Barber Museum that same weekend. |

A friend of mine works at a local bike shop, he also didn't have much to say about the DRZ. |

90 mph is plenty fast enough in the mountains. My Honda would barely do 100 but no sportbike could even get close enough to it to catch up in the straights. I very seldom got over 70 mph with it and would have to stop and wait for my sportbike friends. They would talk about having to go 130mph plus to catch up and it would blow their mind when I told them that I never got over 75mph. A good rider on a DRZ will be gone so fast that you will wonder were in the h*ll he went to. Speed only counts on the track where you have long straights and fast sweeping corners. Like I always say a great rider on a slow bike will beat a good rider on a fast bike everytime. |

Has anyone changed from a single headlight to a dual headlight and know what it entails? Bunny...One more? New12R - I checked out the DRZ400SM too. It's a sweet bike and the kid I chatted with had nothing but good things to say about it. But then he had a tendency to go around corners sideways. You know...Like they were meant to do. I'd like one, but heck, $5700 isn't in my mattress. |
