200 miles on the odo and the brake light doesn't work. It just stays on. I checked the levers and the clearance is good. Sounds like a warranty issue. Guess I'll be seeing Andrew on Fri. |

Does it stay on low or high? Sounds like a bulb filament burned out. I'm thinking we should head up to Prescott and do the big loop to Payson back down. My bike should be up and running again by then. Big bore 1250 kit stage 1 heads being installed, courtesy of a leaking base gasket. The electrical problem has been tracked down to the stator only charging at 3500k and below interminett short to ground Being I never ride 3500 or below unless the fuzz is around It was'nt charging very much. I pulled the lens. The bulb is fine. Both filaments are intact. The bulb looks, and basically is brand new. Like the bike. I checked the Brake/Horn fuse, and it's ok too. |

Check the connections they could be backwards flip them around, and try different positions with the bulb placement. Those bulbs can be deceiving it still may be blown and you wont be able to visually see it. |

i was thinking last night and got a good idea. it would be very cool but is going to take some planing. with you guys all into the trackdays why not have a trackday of our own. i work at all the ccs stops with tucson motor sports and my favorite track to go to is in deming new mexico. its a small town track where everything is very relaxed. right off the freeway. the owner is roger Heemsbergen who raced for kawi and i think honda and is a great guy. the last time i was there i asked him about renting out the track. he said he does it all the time for cars or bikes. so i know we have some buellers in NM and all of us here so it could be a fun weekend. i have a trailer that will fit 6 bikes and also have the bed of the truck for 2 more. hotels are 50 bucks and its about 3.5 hrs from tucson. i dont know how much trackdays are costing u guys in phoenix but this could be cheaper and we will have our own track. tell me what you think and i can talk to Roger. check out the track at www.asmaracing.com |

Three now... I may be moving to the racetec's... Maybe the M3's though, that should put me at four and a half runs WITH better grip... Technology is good . |

That track could be fun. I bet we could get enough of us to go to make it worthwhile. Especially since there wouldn't be all that traffic. J- Good to hear that you're almost up and running again. We missed you at the track. Speaking of, I won't be there on March 5th. But I'm sure I'll be there for March 19th. To bad I'm gonna miss the West track. |

They are running the west track on the 12th its just the other company TEAM AZ. Either way I'll see you. We are going to move our monthly ride to the 2nd SAT of march, that would be the 11th. This way i'll be able to attend. Nallin is expediting my cyl heads for a fast turn around but they would be arriving a couple of days after the ride. So keep the suggestions coming. J |

My brake light problem must be some sort of short, or a bad ground and it popped the filament in a new bulb too. So I'm w/ out bike this weekend.. Good news though, as I was there in time see Andrew install his new Drummer. A very nice piece. And...since my bikes in the shop, anyway, might as well have them throw a drummer and ecm on it. I hope it will all be together for the next ride. |

I'll also be missing the West track but will be back out for the East track on the 19th. If I could swing it, I'd love to hit the New Mexico track, but it's a long shot for me with recruiters school looming... I'm sitting in my backyard using my new wireless card in front of my outdoor fireplace. To quote M1, technology is cool! |

Spiffy. I've got another question, I hope someone can help me here. I ride an XB9SX (Lightning CityX) This is my first "crotch rocket" I've always ridden cruisers. I really want to do tricks, like wheelies, stoppies, things of that nature. So I've been working on wheelies, starting small, trying to build up. Problem is, I just can't get the front end up. I know it can be done, as I've gotten the front wheel up before. But for whatever reason I can't do it again. I've tried clutching, gassing, and letting go of the clutch (not dumping it, but pretty close) and I've tried preloading the front shocks and gunning on the rebound. Nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone give me some pointers? The only people I have to turn to on this ride a Ducati 996 and a GSX-R 1000, so they aren't helping much. Thanks much guys! |

just so everybody is clear on this,if your going on the ride you can bring along visitors as long as they are not a jacka$$ and going to ride like complete idiots. our rides are not brand specific, but we just want responsible riders along with us,nobody thats going to cause us any issues.plus all riders must be wearing the minimum rider gear:helmet, jacket(leather or textile)long pants, and gloves.on official BRAG(national level)only register national and local riders can come because of insurance and liability reasons.we just don't need somebody who doesn't know their riding limits crashing and taking out somebody else. snip3r i've got your fix, just by a 1200,wheelies are ez for us,just kidding! it just take practice, you should consider signing up for a trackday.in the beginner group you will learn alot about you and the bike.remember practice makes perfect! Snip3r, You're always welcome because exposure to the brand be a good think I think... But like babyhuey said, bad exposure be bad so no asshats. For the most part, a majority of bikers are great. I would suggest learning on a dirt bike or at a wheelie school (I'm going to go to one.) You'd feel pretty bad if you finally got the front end up and it came quicker than you thought and you looped your baby huh. I sure would... Not trying to soapbox or lecture at all, just thoughts from one Bueller to another. Can you make it out to the trackday on the 19th? I'd like to meet ya... I've pulled a few wheelies, but none of the slow speed christ poses or anything like that, just slammin' a hard second gear and riding it for all it's worth... |

Sounds good. 1) Where can I get info on these wheelie schools? 2) Next track day; when, where, how much, anything I need to do ahead of time? Will an Icon TiMax jacket be acceptable? |

This is the one I'd like to attend... https://secure.echoalley.com/ononewheel/sign_up/ The contraption on the bike makes it damn near foolproof, that and I've always wanted to ride a triple... If you wan't to come out to ride, here's the info: http://www.aztrackday.com/events/031906.asp You should find everything you need there. Any questions...just ask. |
