I saw something today, then I figured something out, it sure made sense, that's all I can say, can't even say who I am. see ya. hooo boy, this is going to be an interesting summer and fall. Some people are going to be soooo happy, and others indirectly so sad. I'm happy with what I currently have, and I might be happy with what's around the bend, and I know I'd be happy with something from both the recent and the distant past (motorcyclically speaking). A bike is a bike is a bike. I'm a saving up my pennies and predict that in the next 9 months I will either add a brand new bike to the garage, or a 4 year old bike to the garage, either is a Buell. sorry about the anon thing, but sometimes that's just the way it's got to be. now go ride your bike, and just be in the moment and clearify your mind. Sometimes it just is what it is, and just means what it means, and nothing more. |

What, are they building a new four stroke RW750? Now that would be neat, Buell would come Full Circle. |

Aw c'mon, Mike, tell us what you know. Trade it for a dyno sheet? AW (what, you thought I wouldn't recognize your writing?) |

????? The Superhawk, or VTR, only comes one way, half faired. Are you thinking of the RVT, better known as the RC51? Vik |

Chibueller; Sorry, I was offline for the weekend... Back in 97, the TLS' were notorious outside the US for their tankslappers...US journos attributed it to the riding habits of the UK, but Suzuki thought it serious enough to outfit the bikes with steering dampers. Apparently, I've heard that it affacts the carving ability of the bike, but YMMV |

Jim, Ok that's what the dealer claims as well. But the interesting thing is that I went back to put $$ down on it (the 97) at $6900 and suddenly the price jumped to $7400 and then $7700 a minute later. The 01 is $8400 so I think I'll go there instead, if at all. Vic, No, I'm talking about the SuperHawk. It really says SuperHawk right on it and it is 1/4 faired and Aaron has a link to it above.

The VTR's 1/4 fairing looks more like a half fairing, due to the side mounted radiators... In any event, given the choice between the two, I'd go with the TLS. But it's looking like 2002 will be a heck of a year for hooligan bikes. I'll stick with the trusts GS850 till then >:^( |

Chi: I call that a half fairing, maybe that's my mistake. Regardless, I've never heard of them offering a full fairing version or any other version, for that matter. The VTR is the SuperHawk; they are one and the same. I looked into those a few years ago and the only option was color. Vik |

OK VTR/SH is the same, Honda nominclature dosen't distinquish the SH as a VTR on the web site. I also know that the fairing is a 1/2. But its not me doing the counting its the insurance company and that's the REAL DEAL. If they wanna give me a 1/4 for that setup, fine with me. Still not a bike that I'd want to ride all day. |

Jack describes his SuperHawk as a lot like his S1, just a little down on torque. Low range, not comfortable, but a blast to ride. Not one of my top choises either, though. Vik |

The Hawks a pig too. Less than 100 miles in a tank. They can't sell a 2001 for $7100 at the dealer in town. That's a pretty good price but the styling is not 1/2 that of the X1 or the TL. |

Anyone over 15 stone had no problems.....thats probably why the US riders didn't encounter any slappers!!! |
